À propos de cet audio

The Lazy Overachiever Show with Dr. Naketa Ren Thigpen Where ambition is sacred, rest is strategic, and innovation gets intimate. Welcome to the podcast sanctuary for Innovative Overachievers™—high-performing founders, legacy-led leaders, and visionary powerhouses who are done choosing between impact and intimacy. Hosted by Dr. Naketa Ren Thigpen, the World's leading Advisor on Balance, Relationships, and notable Architect of Intimacy in Innovation™, The Lazy Overachiever Show redefines what it means to scale success sustainably without self-betrayal. Here, “lazy” isn’t lack—it’s leverage. It’s the embodied permission to pause, protect your peace, and rise with relational intelligence. Unlike our flagship show Balance Boldly, which centers legacy-building through work-life design and relational recalibration via the infusion of intimacy and impact in business, The Lazy Overachiever Show is where we let the blazer breathe. Think voice notes from the walk, boundary-laced truth bombs, and cheeky, soul-rich strategies that disrupt hustle culture for good. Each episode is a mini recalibration—pulling from metaphysical insight, behavioral science, and the JOY Map Method™ to help you break out of burnout loops and into embodied clarity. Whether you're navigating boardrooms, building family bandwidth, or reclaiming rest as a rite, this space honors your ambition and your aliveness. Because the future of innovation isn’t just artificial, if we are ALL going to succeed with our sanity in hand, it mut be relational. And the revolution starts in how you lead yourself. P.S. A personal note from Dr. Thigpen ~ " I thought of updating the name of this show to LIO (Lazy Innovative Overachiever) because I'm a LEO is the traditional since "hashtag July baby" and I have an affinity towards mnemonics. But I paused, not because it wouldn't be on brand, I paused because I've fully embraced that I am indeed lazy, and I can innovate and overachieve without rebranding the whole dang show..." ~With gentle honesty (and) a touch of rebellion, Dr. Naketa Ren Thigpen https://www.thigpro.com

Thank you to everyone who tuned into my live video!

This solo episode is me naming what most high-functioning folks won’t say out loud: we’re exhausted from over giving our multi-mastered expertise. Not because we lack the drive, but because we’ve been driving without brakes.

Reflecting on a conversation I had recently with a friend, I share a bit of how I reclaimed rest, not as a break, but as a baseline. How I trained myself to stop overdelivering in rooms that never earned full access. And why doing less strategically is one of the most powerful growth moves you can make.

This isn’t productivity advice. It’s personal, protective, and quite honestly a shared permission to pause (if you want it). It’s what shifted my business, deepened my relationships, and reminded me that being exceptional doesn’t mean being available to everything.

If you’re tired of betraying your own bandwidth just to keep up appearances, listen in.

    I promise I won’t waste your energy.

P.S. Listen through the end and here a gentle (and) honest reminder for your spirit on what really happens when you stop proving and start protecting YOUR capacity…

Introducing The Lazy Overachiever Show with Naketa Ren Thigpen—a fresh space where we break more than boxes. Unlike our flagship show, Balance Boldly, which focuses on building legacies with intentional relationships and work-life balance, The Lazy Overachiever Show hones in on innovative self-care practices and sustainable growth strategies designed for founders & leaders determined to evolve beyond the status quo.

This podcast dares you to break free from outdated norms, embrace intentional self-care (aka intentionally selfish self-care), and expand your brilliance through your work while still holding space for the powerful overlap with balance and relationship management. Both shows are dedicated to empowering you to strengthen your boundaries, but this one invites you to unapologetically shatter barriers along the way.

On this show (and) in Naketa's everyday life, she's sharing how the balance of embracing a little laziness...
