The Apostle Paul shares nine aspects of the fruit of the Spirit. The characteristics of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are representative of the kind of life the Holy Spirit produces in believers, marking us as the people of God. These nine qualities flow into one another, mutually reinforcing the process of sanctification in our lives.

He then talks about freedom in Christ and how we can use our freedom as an opportunity to benefit the people around us.
