  • 2/28 Missouri Weather: Rain Starting 1 PM
    Feb 28 2026
Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Step outside and you'll feel something strange for late February. Warmth. We're sitting at 46 degrees right now, but here's the thing. A stalled front is slicing the state in two. and where you live determines what kind of day you're about to have. In the next 24 hours. Down in Southwest Missouri, you're waking up to 47 degrees with a few light showers possible. By this afternoon? You'll hit 76 degrees. That's not a typo. Seventy-six in February. but there's a catch. Humidity crashes to 20 percent, winds gust to 30 miles an hour. and that combo creates fire weather conditions through the afternoon. Skip any outdoor burning today. Head north to Eastern Missouri and you're starting at 40 degrees, climbing to 65 by mid-afternoon. A chance of light rain pops up after 1 P.M., but nothing heavy. Tonight, that front shoves through and temperatures nosedive to 31 degrees. Western Missouri sees the same script. You're at 43 degrees now, hitting 70 this afternoon with a slight chance of rain between 9 A.M. and noon. Tonight you drop to 30 degrees as northerly winds take over. Sunday stays cloudy with highs in the 40s to mid-50s. Then Sunday night into Monday morning, things get messy. North of Highway 54, expect a wintry mix of snow, sleet. and freezing rain. South of there, mostly rain. Monday morning commutes could get dicey across central Missouri. The pattern flips wet and active after that. Tuesday through Friday brings multiple rounds of rain, possibly heavy. We could see 2 to 3 inches by next weekend, raising flooding concerns. One bright note. We're gaining 2 minutes and 28 seconds of daylight each day. Sunrise today at 6:36 A.M., sunset at 5:53 P.M. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.

  • Clear Skies | Missouri Weather
    Feb 26 2026
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Missouri Weather Podcast — it's Thursday, February 26th. Step outside right now and you'll feel 39 degrees. Not terrible. But here's the thing.. Winter's about to take a nap. Sunshine floods the state today. And temperatures are climbing fast. Western Missouri, you're hitting 63 by mid-afternoon. Eastern Missouri reaches 56. Down in the southwest? You're the winner at 65 degrees. That's 24 degrees to 24 degrees warmer than normal for late February. Tonight stays mild — upper 30s to low 40s under clear skies. Now Friday.. Friday is when things get wild. Highs soar into the low to mid 70s statewide. Southwest winds gust to 24 miles an hour. It'll feel like April crashed the party two months early. But here's the catch. Those warm temps and gusty winds create serious fire danger. Humidity drops into the 20s. If you're burning brush or working outdoors Friday afternoon, take extra precautions. Saturday starts warm — mid to upper 60s, even 77 in the southwest. Then a cold front barrels in Saturday night and flips the script completely. Sunday into Monday is where it gets messy. Widespread precipitation develops late Sunday. North of I-70, this looks like snow — 1 to 3 inches possible. South of I-70, it's a mixed bag of rain, sleet. And freezing rain. Travel impacts are likely Sunday night into Monday morning. The rest of next week stays active. Temperatures moderate back to the 40s and 50s with additional rain chances Tuesday and Wednesday. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts. Winter's not done yet. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

  • Cloudy | Missouri Weather
    Feb 25 2026
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Missouri Weather Podcast — it's Wednesday, February 25th. Step outside right now and you'll feel 39 degrees of pure February confusion. Clear skies overhead, but this is just the opening act. Western Missouri takes the warmth crown today. Partly sunny skies push you to 58 degrees around 4 P.M. That's 29 degrees above normal for late February. Then the quick change hits. Rain moves in from 8 P.M. to midnight — nothing heavy, just enough to slick the roads. By 5 A.M. tomorrow, you're cooling to 36 degrees. But Thursday? Sunny and 62. Worth the wait. Eastern Missouri runs cooler today. Mostly cloudy skies cap you at 52 degrees by 3 P.M. Rain chances climb after 9 P.M., peaking around midnight at about a coin flip. That continues until 5 A.M. Winds do a little dance, shifting from northwest to north around 9 A.M. Thursday brings mostly sunny skies and 54 degrees. Southwest Missouri wins the lottery. Partly sunny skies rocket you to 65 degrees around 2 P.M. Just a brief rain window near midnight. Winds shift east to southeast around 2 P.M. Tonight's low settles at 43 degrees by 6 A.M. Here's your week ahead. Friday launches us into the 70s — that's 29 degrees to 25 degrees above normal. Spring preview mode activated. But a cold front stalls this weekend. Temperatures drop and rain could mix with snow Sunday into Monday. The equinox is three weeks out, but today feels like we've already crossed that line. For that overnight rain if you're out late. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
