  • 3/1 New Jersey Weather: Snow and Rain Starting 7 AM
    Mar 1 2026
Good morning. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. An arctic front just slammed the door on late February's warmth. and it brought a parting gift. Snow. In the next 24 hours. Up in North Jersey, light snow starts around 7 A.M. and sticks around through lunch. You're looking at a coating to maybe half an inch. Just enough to make the sidewalks slippery. Highs hit 38 degrees before the bottom falls out tonight. Central Jersey gets the messy version. Rain and snow mix between 7 and 11 A.M., then clouds linger all day. Highs near 40 degrees with a north wind at 10 miles an hour. Not awful. Yet. Down in South Jersey, you dodge most of it. Just a slight chance of a rain shower mid-morning. Highs near 40 degrees, but winds gust to 15 miles an hour. That breeze has teeth. Here's where tonight gets brutal. Skies clear. Temperatures nosedive. North Jersey drops to 18 degrees. Central Jersey hits 17. South Jersey bottoms out at 22. Factor in the wind and it feels like 17 degrees by Monday morning. That's the kind of cold that finds every gap in your jacket. Monday brings sunshine but zero warmth. Highs only in the low 30s statewide. Tuesday flips messy again. Snow changing to freezing rain, then plain rain by afternoon. But hang tight. Wednesday through Saturday, spring crashes the party. Highs surge into the 50s and 60s. Some spots could hit 66 degrees by Saturday. Yeah, you read that right. Layer up tonight. You'll need it. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.

  • 2/28 New Jersey Weather: 20° Above Normal
    Feb 28 2026
Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Fog rolled in overnight and decided to freeze. That's the story this morning. At 30 degrees, moisture is icing up on bridges, overpasses, anywhere the pavement didn't get treated. Black ice doesn't announce itself. If you're heading out before 9 A.M., take it slow. The fog lifts by mid-morning. and then you get the payoff. In the next 24 hours. High pressure is sliding offshore, dragging mild southwest air across the state. Once that fog clears, you're looking at a genuinely pleasant afternoon. Central Jersey tops out at 51 degrees under mostly sunny skies. North Jersey hits 48. South Jersey reaches 47. Not bad for late February. Tonight, an arctic front sweeps through. No drama, no precipitation. Just a clean sweep of cold air. Lows drop to 30 degrees up north, 32 central, 35 south. Sunday is when it gets messy. A wave of low pressure rides that frontal boundary. North Jersey sees snow likely between 7 A.M. and 4 P.M. — under an inch, but enough to coat the roads. Central Jersey flips between rain and snow. South Jersey stays mostly dry. Highs struggle into the upper 30s and low 40s. Then the arctic air crashes in Sunday night. Temperatures plummet to 16 degrees across North and Central Jersey. South Jersey drops to 21. Wind chills hit single digits in spots. That's the kind of cold that finds every gap in your jacket. The week ahead is a wild ride. Monday stays frozen with highs near 31. Tuesday brings another rain and snow mix. Then Wednesday through Friday, temperatures surge into the 50s. Friday could hit near 60 degrees — 15 to 20 above normal. Spring's knocking early. In Sunrise today is at 6, 35 A.M. Sunset at 5:50 P.M. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every day now. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.

  • Special Weather Statement | New Jersey Weather
    Feb 26 2026
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the New Jersey Weather Podcast — it's Thursday, February 26th. That whisper-thin dusting overnight? Two-tenths of an inch. Just enough to turn every untreated surface into a skating rink. Black ice is lurking on driveways and side streets right now. Your first step outside deserves respect. Up in North Jersey, you're waking up to partly sunny skies and a high of 40 degrees. There's a slight chance of light snow after 1 P.M., but most of you stay dry. Tonight clears out and drops to 23 degrees. Central Jersey hits 42 degrees under those same partly sunny skies. Between noon and 5 P.M., watch for a brief rain-snow mix. Just a 30 percent chance — it's a coin flip. Tonight falls to 22 degrees. South Jersey gets the most action today. Rain kicks in by 11 A.M. By late afternoon — right around 4 P.M. — it flips to a rain-snow mix before wrapping up this evening. Patchy fog rolls in after dark. Highs reach 42 degrees. Lows tonight settle at 27 degrees. Friday flips the script. Sunny skies statewide. Highs in the low to mid 40s. Saturday pushes even warmer — near 50 degrees in many spots. Perfect weather to melt that seven inches of snow still sitting on your lawn. But winter's not done yet. Sunday night an arctic front barrels through. Monday brings a chance of snow and highs only in the upper 20s to low 30s. The cold makes one last stand before spring. Speaking of spring — we're gaining over two minutes of daylight every day now. Sunrise hits at 6:38 A.M. Sunset at 5:48 P.M. The spring equinox sits just three weeks out. Drive carefully this morning. Ice doesn't announce itself. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
