    Aug 11 2025
Hello, Buckeyes! Welcome to this week's campus news update for Monday, August 11, 2025. Let's dive into the latest happenings at Ohio State University. The Buckeyes are gearing up for an exciting football season. Fall camp is in full swing under the leadership of seventh-year head coach Ryan Day. The team, comprising 120 players, began practices at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, with fans and media in attendance. Notably, safety Caleb Downs, a unanimous All-American last year, returns to lead the defense, while wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, the Big Ten's freshman of the year, anchors the offense. Mark your calendars for August 30, when Ohio State hosts the Texas Longhorns at Ohio Stadium.
