  • Colonization of Neurodivergence
    Oct 17 2025

In this episode, we dive headfirst into the heavy and necessary topic of the colonization of neurodivergence with Christina Schmidt.

I'm going to be honest with you: listening back, this conversation hit me with a wall of shame, guilt, and embarrassment. As an ADHD woman with a late diagnosis, verbally processing in real-time is how my brain works , but in my effort to unmask and unlearn, I ramble, I overtalk, and I didn't ask the deep questions I planned to. I was so embarrassed I almost didn't post this.

But this is what real-time self-awareness and unlearning looks like. It's often messy, awkward, and even cringe. The goal isn't to be perfect, it's to get curious about your discomfort.

As you listen, I invite you to turn the lens inward. Don't worry about doing well or getting it all right—just reflect and process:

    • What in this conversation triggers your nervous system?

    • Where does shame, guilt, or defensiveness show up for you?

    • Are you willing to face the parts of the problem that benefit you?

    • Are you choosing curiosity, or shutting down in judgment?

Our growth is in the honest reflection, not the initial performance. Remember: it's ok to TRIPP as long as its forward... Let's unlearn, grow, and get real af.
