    Rizwan Rahemtulla is president of the Husaini Islamic Centre in Burton Street, Peterborough.He was born in Uganda and moved to the UK at the age of four as a refugee thanks to the infamous reign of Idi Amin, before arriving in Peterborough in the mid-1980s.He has held many posts within Equality Diversity & Human Rights Advisor on a voluntary basis.His many other positions throughout his life include being chair for UNISON’s Self-Organised Black Members Group (Police & Justice Branch); Executive member of the Peterborough Inter-Faith Council, and being on the Muslim Council of Peterborough and Joint Mosques Council. In this chat he tells John about how important self-improvement is for young people; the challenges of policing; and whether he would ever consider becoming a politician.
