This week we are diving into the chilling world of “Case 39“ from 2009 with our amazing guest cohost and friend Cadu.

This was a first-time watch for Ryan at Cadu’s suggestion, and wow did this movie take us on a ride. Starring Renée Zellweger and directed by Christian Alvart, this supernatural thriller gave us plenty to talk about.

And we have TWO special surprises for you. Christian himself sent in an incredible message filled with behind the scenes insights about the making of the film. And the talented Kerry O’Malley, who played Margaret Sullivan, shared a beautiful and heartfelt video for all our Radical Ones that absolutely made our day!

"Emily Jenkins, portrayed by Renée Zellweger, is a dedicated social worker who becomes involved in the case of 10-year-old Lilith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland). Lilith's declining grades and emotional distress raise concerns about her home life, leading Emily to investigate her family situation. Emily suspects that Lilith's parents are abusive and proposes to remove the child from their custody. The situation escalates dramatically when Emily discovers that Lilith's parents, Edward and Margaret, attempt to kill her by roasting her alive in their oven. Emily intervenes just in time, saving Lilith with the help of Detective Mike Barron (Ian McShane). Following this traumatic event, Lilith is placed in Emily's care until a suitable foster family can be found. However, strange occurrences begin to unfold in Emily's life after Lilith moves in, leading her to suspect that Lilith may not be as innocent as she appears."

Your Radical Retro Brothers are joining Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the gang for “The Great Muppet Caper” the 1981 musical comedy caper film directed by Jim Henson and bursting with Muppet mayhem!

Watch as Miss Piggy gives us an iconic synchronized swimming sequence that absolutely deserves applause. We also learn the surprising fact that Kermit and Fozzie are considered some kind of twin brothers here, complete with a father who looks suspiciously like Moss Man from He-Man. Plus, stay tuned for David’s favorite moment near the finale when Miss Piggy takes on the resting bitch face fashion models who are trying to steal the fabulous Baseball Diamond. It is pure camp magic!
