À propos de cet audio

Hello and welcome to The Rising Arts Agency Podcast, exploring how we use our radical imaginations to create meaningful social change in the arts and cultural sector. YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LEADERS NOW (not in the future). We are Rising Arts Agency, a genuinely youth-led social enterprise based in Bristol. We support the city’s underrepresented young people (18-30) to fulfil their creative ambitions and mobilise to affect radical social change through the arts. We are anti-establishment, fiercely independent and co-created with and for young people. Things need to change. The cultural and creative sectors are not fit-for-purpose. As our unique ways of working, thinking and facilitating become more recognised, we work both locally and nationally advocating for radical sector and cultural change through activist campaigns, research, consultation, care and our creative agency services. This podcast is our gift to you. We hope you find a home here. Hello and welcome to Power in Partnerships, a Rising Arts Agency podcast series exploring strategies for dismantling the power imbalances apparent in Cultural sector partnership working. Please make yourself at home!

For the final episode of this riveting series, we're doing things a bit differently. We're inviting you to be a fly on the wall of the This Is The Work: Power in Partnerships event we hosted in November 2023 - sharing the learning of our community, partners and comrades in this work.

As part of Rising's research with Kings College and the Centre for Cultural Value around power imbalances as part of partnership working, we didn't want to hold all the knowledge and recognise that we're not the only experts on this. We wanted to bring people together to go deeper with this work, and hear more about how others' are experiencing power in partnerships. Listen to the joy, the frustrations and the community that comes out of shared experience.
