  • Skeet Ulrich on Scream, Riverdale and Five Nights At Freddy's 2
    Dec 2 2025

Happy Tuesday! I have been looking forward to interviewing this week's guest for a long time and I am so happy we were finally able to get him on the show. This week I'm talking with none other than Skeet Ulrich! I have been a fan of Skeet's work since he played Billy Loomis in Scream and Chris Hooker in The Craft. You may also know him from Riverdale, where he played FP Jones, or from roles in As Good As It Gets, Jericho, Law & Order: LA and many others. He is one of those actors that is able to make you absolutely fall in love with his characters, even ones that are twisted or a little out there! I really enjoyed getting to know Skeet a little better. In addition to his love of acting, we also talk about his other life as a carpenter and the insights he has from raising twins as a single dad. Lastly, we have so much fun talking about the new Five Nights At Freddy's movie and the raucous panels Skeet has been doing at conventions with his co-star Matthew Lillard. As always, if you want to hear more about the interview or catch the latest updates on my life, head over to our Patreon for an extended Hindsight with my producer Jeph!

    Nov 25 2025

Hey everyone! This week's episode is a repost of a live episode we did over on my Patreon. I was recently told I HAD to watch the new documentary The Age of Disclosure all about UFOs and UAPs, so I thought I'd grab the two middle-aged men I know that will always talk to me about aliens, my producer Jeph Porter and my friend Kristian Harloff. So if you want to know my thoughts on the film, check this one out.

Jeph and I also do a little AMA at the end. If you want me to answer your questions or you want to be a part of these live streams, head over to patreon.com/thesackhoffshow and join the 2%!

  • Ernie Hudson Knew Ghostbusters Was Something Special
    Nov 18 2025

Hi everyone, Happy Tuesday! This year, I dressed up as the Marshmallow Man for Halloween, so it's only fitting that I have Ernie Hudson on the show this week! Ernie famously played Winston Zeddmore in Ghostbusters. He has also appeared in many, many other projects, including films like The Crow, Airheads and Miss Congeniality and on TV on Oz, Grace and Frankie, LA's Finest and most recently as L. C. Duncan in The Family Business. It was such an honor to sit down with Ernie and we immediately got along. We talk about his childhood and the emotional moment last year when the street he grew up on was renamed in his honor. We also get into the inner strength he's developed riding the highs and lows of an almost 60 year (!) career in show business. There is so much we can all learn from Ernie and I hope you get as much out of this conversation as I did. If you want to hear more about Ernie and get updates on my own life, be sure to check out the Hindsight for this episode over on Patreon!

It's a special Tuesday this week! Show favorite Paul Sun-Hyung Lee joins the show as Katee reveals his brand-new Carson Teva action figure. Plus, Katee gets the updates from Paul about the new season of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Paul shares his contribution to the design of the patches on Carson Teva's bomber jacket. Stick around for an AMA with Paul and Katee, with questions about the 501st, cosplay, Stephen King and who would (and wouldn't) play a vampire. • James Callis Talks Battlestar, Gaius Baltar and Why Playing Bad Guys is Fun
    Nov 4 2025

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! I can't believe it's taken this long, but this week I am finally talking to my friend and Battlestar legend James Callis! On Battlestar, James played Dr. Gaius Baltar. He is also known for playing best friend Tom in the Bridget Jones' Diary movies, as well as appearances in Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys, Arrow and most recently as Claude Whelan in Slow Horses. James was an intimidating person for me to interview — he's so smart about acting (and about everything else) and he plays a really good bad guy— but in this conversation, you get to see his goofy side and his tender side too. James is an incredible dad and I loved getting to talk to him about how fatherhood helps him keep the nonsense of life on set in perspective. He has also worked with some of the greatest actors of all time and we discuss what traits Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif all have in common. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation and I'm so happy I got to see James in person! Enjoy the episode and check out our Patreon for an extended hindsight where my producer Jeph and I discuss James and all things Battlestar in more detail.

  • Katee Watched Oculus for the First Time in Over a Decade
    Oct 28 2025

Hi everyone, this week we have a Halloween surprise for you! My producer Jeph and I are rewatching Mike Flanagan's 2013 horror film Oculus, which I starred in. Grab some popcorn and candy and get ready for some southern gothic scares. I haven't seen this movie in over a decade, so it was a lot of fun to sit down and try to remember what happened. Jeph had never seen it, so he was coming in blind!

For this audio companion, Jeph and I introduce the movie and talk through some behind the scenes stories about the rest of the cast, which included Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Kate Siegel and Rory Cochrane. We also get into the stunts and effects, how the film found success at the box office and how to act possessed in a dress! If you want to watch the film with us, head over to https://patreon.com/thesackhoffshow or check out our YouTube for highlights!

  • Robert Englund on Becoming the Stuff of Nightmares
    Oct 21 2025

Happy Spooky Season, Everyone! As many of you know, scary movies freak me out. But that doesn't mean I don't love today's guest! Today I'm talking to a horror icon— Freddy himself, Robert Englund! Robert is beloved for his performance as Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street and its many sequels. He has also had an illustrious career outside of Wes Craven's franchise, appearing in hundreds of films and TV shows, including a recent appearance as Victor Creel in Stranger Things. On Halloween of this year, he will be immortalized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and it could not be going to a sweeter, more generous person. Robert is a joy to talk with and I'm so honored he took the time to chat with me. We have gotten to know each other over years at conventions and we have a great conversation about what it's like to be associated with an iconic role, his warm relationship with horror fans and how he used his experience on-set to inform his performance as Freddy. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did— and Happy Halloween!
