What does it really mean to be a disciple of Jesus? In this episode, we move beyond the idea of a one-time decision and explore Jesus’ call to “come after me.” Discipleship is about who you follow and what you’re known for. Through Scripture and real-life stories, we discover that being identified by Jesus means living a life of intentional service—serving others, even when it’s difficult, just as Jesus did.

Many people start New Year's Resolutions and commitments to follow the Lord, but as the year progresses, their resolution fades. In a recent study done by Forbes, 94% of people do not stick with their resolutions past a year.

How can an individual stay committed to their resolution, especially in terms of the Lord?

As we wrap up our series on getting unstuck, we consider any overall guidance to help us move forward. We can hear so many great sermons, but nothing changes. Where does real progress begin?

First, we look at the situation of the man at the pool and recognize that it is only because of Jesus that we can proceed forward. He is the beginning of the solution, the middle and the end of the solution. So we take a moment to recognize the value of Jesus in our lives.

Second, we consider how the man moves forward by seeing how he responds to the healing of Jesus. The man chooses to love others and share Jesus. If we will live a life for others, growth and change will be required.
