Not every A24 horror flick is a slam dunk. Such is the case with Love Lies Bleeding director Rose Glass’s first film Saint Maud. Despite a fantastic lead performance and incredible imagery, the movie spends 80 minutes spinning its wheels before suddenly revealing an explosive ending that almost makes up for the lack of story that came before it - but not quite. So sit back and witness the tale of Saint Maud as we discuss the movie, plus Maud’s Creed-inspired wings, what JT’s initials actually stand for, and of course, Bea Arthur as Maude.

There’s a new Scream flick in theaters right now, and while that film is what most of the fans are talking about, we’re throwing it back to 2011 to dissect the very mid Scream 4. Released over a decade after the original three films, this one suffers from an identity crisis and fails to justify its existence in the overstuffed remake/reboot crowd of the time. Does this movie have anything to say about the then-current state of horror?
