  • Libby Coppinger and Saoirse McCarthy win All-Star awards
    Nov 19 2025

ON THIS week's podcast, we look back at Libby Coppinger and Saoirse McCarthy receiving 2025 camogie All-Stars.

St Colum’s player Coppinger won her third in four seasons while Courcey Rovers’ McCarthy won her fourth in-a-row.

Other Cork winners included Ashling Thompson, Amy O’Connor and Laura Hayes.

McCarthy missed out on the Player of the Year award, despite getting nominated for a third successive season, as Galway’s Aoife Donohue collected the award.

We couldn’t miss giving the Irish soccer team a mention after their heroics in seeing off Portugal and Hungary to clinch a World Cup play-off in March.

A huge boost to the nation after Troy Parrott hit five goals in two games. Unexpected too.

There were also county final defeats for Ilen Rovers and Bandon while Kilmacabea and Ibane Gaels are in action this coming weekend.

  • Clara Crowley and Siofra Patwell on Ballinascarthy camogie rise
    Nov 5 2025

ON THIS week's podcast, we are joined by Ballinascarthy camogie players Clara Crowley and Siofra Patwell after the club won their second county title-in-a-row.

After winning the Premier Junior Camogie Championship title in 2024, they followed it up with an Intermediate Camogie Championship victory in 2025 after beating Sliabh Rua in the final.

Bal will play second tier county camogie (premier intermediate) in 2026 joining fellow West Cork clubs Newcestown, Enniskeane and Clonakilty.

Crowley and Patwell were also part of the Carbery camogie team that competed in the senior championship this year, emphasising their quality along with the rest of their teammates.

Also on the show, we look back at an action-packed weekend as Ilen Rovers drew their Intermediate A Football Championship final against Ballinora, meaning a replay will be required.

Bandon hurlers are made to wait for their county final to take place once again after Aghabullogue won their football final against Uibh Laoire.
