À propos de cet audio

Voice talent and voice over artists breathe life into the media we consume and I want to learn what inspires them, what lured them to the microphone, and what they themselves have learned along the way in this mighty journey we all share.Copyright 2021 All rights reserved. Voice Over Coffee Shop Episode 82

Hi there! My name is Andrew Morrison and welcome to the Voice Over Coffee Shop, where we start our day with some of the finest names in voice over.

If you’d like to get to know more about me, feel free to check out my website at https://andrewdmorrison.com

In this episode we have the legendary audiobook narrator, producer, and voice artist Scott Brick!

Scott is an award-winning American voice actor, narrator, and writer, best known for his prolific work in audiobook narration. With a background in acting and writing, he has narrated over 1,000 audiobooks, covering a wide range of genres, including science fiction, mystery, and historical nonfiction. His voice has become synonymous with best-selling authors like Frank Herbert (Dune series), Michael Crichton, and Orson Scott Card.

Brick’s engaging and nuanced delivery has earned him numerous industry accolades, including Audie Awards and Earphones Awards. In addition to his narration work, he is also a writer and audiobook coach, which I have personally experienced and it was far more amazing than I could have ever expected.

In today’s episode we talk about:

    - What the Audiobook industry actually looks like.

    - Dancing with your reads.

    - Understanding author intent.

    - Outsourcing production and research.

    -

Scott has brought more stories to life than I could possibly fathom, and I hope you gained as much of an emotional connection to the art of narration itself as I did during this.

If you would like to see his work or book Scott for coaching, you can visit https://scottbrick.com/

Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll catch you in the next one!
