This is my first solo episode of Where I Am. I talk about meeting people where they are—including myself. I think about a sad clown painting that’s stayed with me, the pressure of a new year, and what it’s like to grieve who you used to be. If this season feels heavy, unchanged, or quieter than expected, you’re not doing it wrong. This episode isn’t about fixing anything. It’s about honesty—and making space for where we actually are.

In 2015, Hannah's best friend, Lauren, passed away suddenly. She was one of the closest friends Hannah ever had.

James Tolbert is an actor, singer, dancer, director and choreographer who probably needs some sleep! He, most notably, is a longtime collaborator with the viral online sensation, Starkid Productions, as well as being featured in various theatre and tv productions including Nickelodeon’s “Danger Force” and FX’s “Better Things.”

He’s an avid gamer and graphic novel enthusiast who is currently learning how to lift weights and not throw his back out! Always on the search for creative challenges, he is also teaching himself how to play the guitar and conceiving three projects at the same time.
