Equally at home in the Prayer Room and penning her own blend of pop/soul/worship songs, Steph ministers from a place of freedom, intimacy, and authority grounded in her identity as a beloved daughter of the Most High King.

Rooted in John 10:10 and 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, her particular message revolves around calling the lukewarm believer into the passionate, abundant, gloriously surrendered life Jesus always meant for those He loves. She’s quick to callout her own hypocrisy first, and uses her disarming vulnerability, knowledge of the Word, and colorful melodies to invite the listener to do the same.

Her latest album, Dare to Behold,, invites the listener to identify and wrestle against sin, turn from the things of this world, and chase boldly after Jesus. She prays these songs would call all lukewarm believers into the passionate, abundant, gloriously surrendered life Jesus always meant for those He loves... because there’s too little time to be half-hearted and half-asleep.

A longtime member of the Writing Worship Community, Alexis Naomi (Lexi) Kuzins is a passionate songwriter and worship leader with a heart for helping others encounter the love of Jesus through music. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, she leads worship at Long Hollow Church and travels across the country ministering to people of all ages through worship.

Lexi began writing songs at 16 and has since written hundreds of worship songs that reflect her desire to create meaningful, Spirit-led moments in God’s presence. Her heart is for writing congregational worship that helps people connect deeply with the truth of the gospel.

She’s currently preparing to release a new single in August and is working on her debut EP, coming next year.

Worship Leader and Worship Songwriter, Deborah Hong, from North Palm Church joins for a conversation about developing a songwriter culture in her church.

Deborah Hong is a worship leader, songwriter, and native of Charleston, South Carolina. The daughter of pastors Mark and Patricia Estes of North Palm Church, she began leading worship and writing songs at the age of 12. Now married to James Hong and a mother of three boys, Deborah leads North Palm Worship in creating and releasing original worship music for the church.

Chidiya (pronounced CHI-dee-yah) Ohiagu is an independent singer-songwriter and worship artist. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Chidiya grew up listening to a variety of music from pop to soul and R&B, Afrobeat to classical and gospel. His father’s love for music inspired him from a young age, leading him to sing in choirs and fall in love with harmony and varied musical styles.

Since 2019, he has written and released multiple projects, including his breakout single “Already Blessed,” a compelling reminder to be grateful on a daily basis, which continues to impact thousands. He has collaborated with multiple artists and writers, including award-winning artist Chris Cleveland (Stars Go Dim), Mark and Sarah Tillman, and South African gospel artist KingDMusic.

A featured artist on the Writing Worship Community’s album “Community”, he is also a writer on two songs on the new EP “reTURNing (Live)”.

Chidiya’s faith in God is what fuels his music and songwriting. His heart desires to be a conduit for God to flow through and to empower believers everywhere to live joyful, Spirit-filled lives.

Matt Mouzakis holds an MA in Biblical Studies and Biblical Languages from Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary, and a ThD in Biblical Studies (New Testament Backgrounds) from Covenant Theological Seminary. He serves as the Worship and Discipleship Pastor at The Point Church in Seymour, Indiana.

Matt is passionate about helping the church rediscover the beauty of Scripture, with a focus on the Kingdom of God, the teachings of Jesus, and the New Testament’s engagement with Second Temple Judaism.

He is the author of Principalities, Powers, and Allegiances, based on his doctoral dissertation exploring how passages like Romans 13, 1 Peter 2, and Revelation 13 speak to unseen powers and political allegiance within a biblical framework.

Matt lives in Indiana with his wife, Audrie, and their four children, and loves serving the local church through worship, discipleship, and teaching.
