God never, ever contradicts Himself. So how can we so what He says, and both remember...and forget?

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" (Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV)

What if we realized the enemy is powerless...unless we give him power? Would that change things?

"Shall I look to the mountain gods for help? No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains! And the heavens too! He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall. For he is always watching, never sleeping. Jehovah himself is caring for you! He is your defender. He protects you day and night. He keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. He keeps his eye upon you as you come and go and always guards you." (Psalm 121 TLB)

Do we really need to ask God to be with us?

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10 CSB)

What does God want from us today?

"Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things." (Psalm 103:1-5 NLT)

Scripture says we should number our days, and specifically asks God to help us. So how do we do that? What does it look like to do so?

"Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should." (Psalm 90:12 TLB)

He's Immanuel. God with us. Every day of the year.

"Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel, which means 'God is with us.'" (Matthew 1:23 NLT)

The world is so dark...but there's a light that won't be extinguished by it.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." (John 1:5 NLT)

"Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, 'I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.'" (John 8:12 NLT)
