Episode 6 of the PPA 30 Under 30 podcast features my conversation with Gabriel Gottardo da Silva, an Art Editor within Hearst Content Agency, which produces multi-platform for a range of brands. George at Asda is the specific focus of Gabriel’s day-to-day work. This involves creating full 360 content strategies ranging from print publications to social media campaigns to video content. After joining the George team as a junior designer in June of 2019, Gabriel’s adaptability and commitment to upskilling has given him the tools to grow the audience. In his first four months creating assets for the George at Asda Instagram, their following lept from 200,000 to 500,000 now standing at nearly 620,000 In our conversation, Gabriel and I explored what it means to be an Art Editor in 2021, what makes an Instagram strategy successful and the designers he draws inspiration from.
