    Oct 17 2025

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, we’re lighting up the truth about THC potency fraud in the legal cannabis market. Some companies are intentionally mislabelling THC levels, and Health Canada’s response? Painfully slow. We’ll dig into why regulators ignored industry insiders’ warnings, how their “public health first” stance doesn’t match their actions, and why the 10mg edible cap might actually be part of the problem.Could more realistic potency ranges stop shady labeling and give consumers what they really paid for? Let’s talk corporate greed, government red tape, and the real impact on cannabis culture.Like, Share, Subscribe, leave a Comment and visit Tots420.com

  • Trigger Warnings Not Included
    Oct 10 2025

On this Seshisode of Thoughts Off The Stem, host Justin Barone jumps into an online debate about clever marketing, freedom of choice, one-sided opinions, and the softening of a triggered society.

This is where overthinking, oversensitivity, outrage, and clever marketing collide. Join the sesh as Justin dives into the debate on freedom, personal choice, and why some people manage to get triggered by absolutely nothing.

That’s right — we’re tackling marketing controversies, social sensitivity, and the absurdity of overthinking how something looks. Sensitivity is at an all-time high, and society’s now projecting fears and discomfort onto inanimate objects — because apparently everything’s offensive.

Justin shares his take with sharp sarcasm, biting humor, and unapologetic wit, serving up laughs and logic in equal measure.

Perfect for fans of comedy, edgy humor, and sarcastic takes on modern life.

    Trigger warnings… not included.

  • Where Did the Giggles Go?
    Oct 3 2025

On this episode of Thoughts Off The Stem, a comedy podcast that dives into life’s absurdities, is it just me or does it seem like the laughter has died a little?I remember when we were young and we infused our weekends with herbs and spices. We giggled like idiots, for hours, at nothing. The first time I tried it, one of my buddies said "poop" and we were laughing like a pack of adolescent hyenas, sprawled out on my other buddy’s basement floor, tears streaming down our faces, clutching our stomachs, laughing so hard it felt like we were going to suffocate. Fast forward, I’m in my 40s and sure a giggle here and there happens, but it’s not like it was back in the day. So my question is, why? What happens over time that dilutes the chuckles? Or is it possible that regular experiences over time mean that, as we age, we become immune to the part of the experience where our bellies bounce like bowls full of jelly. I remember leaving high school parties with heavy eyes and cheek muscles that felt like they were training for Mr. Olympia.I personally miss the giggles. It was a big part of what drew me to life’s silly side in the first place. I love to laugh, and this thing basically opened the floodgates of silly. Now, not so much. I mean, it still happens — it just takes a little effort.Join the sesh, hop on the roller coaster of ridiculousness, and find out what made the laughter stop — and what you can do to get this creaky coaster back on track. This is all served up with sarcasm, storytelling comedy, and plenty of laughs along the way.Like, share, subscribe, leave a comment, and check out Tots420.com — your stop for funny podcast content and laughs that hit close to home.

  • Why Do We Celebrate Idiots?
    Oct 1 2025

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem we get real: the dumb are thriving. Coworkers who can’t do their jobs get praise like they just cured cancer. Smart, competent people? Labeled troublemakers. Society’s mantra seems to be: keep the idiots happy and don’t make anyone think too hard.In this episode, we rage, we laugh, and we ask the obvious question everyone’s thinking: why do we praise idiots? From people protecting their jobs by surrounding themselves with dumb yes-men, to friendships that are easier with morons because questions are overrated, we break down the absurdity of living in a world that rewards stupidity.Of course, we can’t ignore the king of the stupids himself: Trump. We dissect his UN speech where he spent most of it mocking the entire assembly as idiots… and then, in the same breath, said he loved them. Genius strategy? Or just another example of society cheering for nonsense? We also explore the rise of stupid people in the workplace, how incompetence and mediocrity are celebrated, and why lazy coworkers and dumb yes-men often get more recognition than smart, analytical people. From everyday workplace idiocy to public figures making headlines for nonsense, this episode highlights how and why dumb behavior is rewarded, why smart people are sidelined, and how stupidity has become the new status quo.If you’ve ever wondered why mediocrity is praised, why dumb behavior spreads faster than competence, or why society seems obsessed with rewarding idiots, this episode is your sarcastic, annoyed, and brutally honest guide to understanding the absurdity of our world.

  • How Weed Changes Your Sleep
    Sep 26 2025
This week on Thoughts Off The Stem a discussion about how weed changes your sleep, what happens to your brain when you quit smoking weed and the effects when you decide to take a T break.Taking a couple weeks off of smoking weed, especially if you go cold turkey, can have a huge affect on how your brain works. A side from other withdrawal symptoms one of the major ones is vivid dreams. Many people that use cannabis on a regular basis will experience a wide range of symptoms when they stop smoking weed. One of the things that happens for a prolonged period of time is vivid dreams, nightmares and very confusing sleep. In the cannabis community we take what is called T breaks or tolerance breaks. This is how stoners, potheads, enthusiasts and connoisseurs reset themselves. The reasons for taking a T break are many. Most commonly it's because the user finds that they are using stronger or more of the product. So quitting for a short time, like two weeks can reset their baseline and get them back to a level of tolerance that preserves their stash. Tolerance breaks are a good idea. They serve a multitude of purposes and they help cannabis enthusiasts clear the fog, so to speak. If you are thinking about taking a T break... in the beginning of a T break... or thick in the middle of one and wondering why you feel how you feel, this sesh has all the tips. Especially if you are trying to figure out why that psycho clown keeps showing up in your dreams.Join the sesh if you're curious to know what happens to your brain when you put down the chronic. You can also join the sesh for the fun and the jokes, you don't necessarily have to be quitting weed or smoking weed to have a good time. • Charlie Kirk Hypocrisy - Prove Me Wrong
    Sep 19 2025

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem the discussion is Charlie Kirk. Whether you like him, agree with or you don't, we have to discuss the ramifications of what happened. There is a bigger issue evolving here. That issue is free speech. The problem that we face now is, how are we going to proceed? Are we going to allow our emotions to run wild and continue on our progression of chaos? We really should maintain a level of awareness that our actions have consequences. Our right to free speech is essential and we can't allow acts of violence to silence the voice.Though I don't agree with everything Charlie Kirk represented, I do believe that he had the right to voice it. I think that there were some missteps in the delivery and as a society we are guilty of fuelling the approach that many groups, influencers and public personalities use to generate interest in their message. In todays society we adapt techniques that prey on emotion and controversy to sell a point. If the goal is to create open discourse and evolved discussion, we as humans have a responsibility to maintain a level of decorum, curiosity and to listen to a differing opinion.Shutting down discussion because of discomfort with the message is not the way we as a global society are going to find and implement unity and attract change.Like, Share, leave a Comment, Subscribe and visit Tots420.com

  • What You Need to Know About Cuba: Adventures With an Infused Tourist!
    Sep 14 2025

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem a vacation to Cuba and all the things you need to know about what to expect.I haven't gone on a vacation in 20 years. In fact I really haven't gone on vacation outside of family vacations as kid. Even then we didn't really go to tropical places or islands. We mostly toured Florida and Tennessee. My dad loved road trips. So now in my 40's my girlfriend, who does do tropical vacations. Decided that we needed to get away and Cuba was place to go. We picked Cuba because the all inclusive prices were some of the best. They had a variety of resorts to pick from and the beaches are some of the best.It was my first time going and I had no expectations really. I'm also pretty laid back, as you can tell from the podcast. So it's pretty hard to ruin my good time. I have a pretty solid ability to find the fun and enjoyment in pretty much any situation.Having said that, there are some things that you should know before you head to Cuba for fun in the sun.Join the sesh and accompany me on the journey that was our Cuban vacation. This isn't your aunts vacation slide show. This is a raw and honest retelling of our trip from start to finish. There is a lot to laugh at and few dry heave moments, but over all you'll get an inside perspective of what a vacation to Cuba entails.Like, Share, leave a Comment, Subscribe and visit Tots420.com

  • Superman 2025 Brought to you by ADHD and Dope
    Sep 5 2025

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem, a review of the Superman Movie 2025.My son and I had some guy time over a few days, so of course we had to include a night at the movies. Looking for a little action and high octane superhero violence we figured we'd check out the new Superman. With all the hype surrounding the movie we figured we'd be in for a treat. Can't go wrong with some action, some controversy and a new origin story right?Even though I am admittedly not huge fan of Superman as a character, I am a huge fan of movies. That's what I was looking forward to. A night at the movies doesn't happen that often and it's quite honestly one of the most fun things to do on a Tuesday or Friday night. In my opinion.Nostalgia baby, that's what I'm chasing. The feeling you get when going to the movies on those days really adds a little spice to my life. That's what I did with my dad when I was a kid and I wanted to share that experience with my son.So we were both pretty excited, albeit for different reasons. Either way we were both looking forward to a dude movie night.Join the sesh to find out what we thought of the movie and this new incarnation of Superman. I have a feeling it's not exactly what you'd expect.Like, Share, Leave a Comment, Subscribe and visit Tots420.com
