  • S2:E8 Helping Others Heal by Telling My Story
    Sep 3 2025

In this deeply personal birthday-month episode, I open up about what it means to grieve the mother I never had—while celebrating the woman I’ve become at 52.

I talk candidly about growing up in a home marked by trauma, unpredictability, and unmet emotional needs. My parents, like so many, were caught in cycles of generational dysfunction they never named... and so they never broke them. It took me standing up and saying, “This ends with me.”

Through God’s grace, I’ve learned to mother myself, raise my children differently, and become the kind of woman who helps others heal their past to create a better future. In this episode, I reflect on how God has faithfully used what was meant for harm and turned it into a testimony of hope and purpose.

    You’ll hear:

    • Why holidays like Mother’s Day and Christmas still carry mixed emotions

    • How I’m learning to create new memories with the family I’ve chosen

    • The ache I feel when others talk about the parents they had, and how I’ve turned that pain into deep, intentional love for others

    • A powerful tool you can use today to reflect on your own journey

    • A guest segment from my daughter Madison, who shares what it was like to grow up with a cycle-breaking mom

Whether you’ve experienced generational trauma or are simply walking through grief that’s hard to explain. This episode will remind you: God does not waste your story.

💛 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good…” (Genesis 50:20, NLT)

  • S2:E7 Standing on His Promises
    Jul 29 2025
Theme: Faith in God’s Covenant Key Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:20 – (KJV) “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (NLT) “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding ‘Yes!’ And through Christ, our ‘Amen’ ascends to God for his glory.” When life feels uncertain, how do you keep standing? In this episode of Standing on His Promises, host Monique welcomes Jeremy and Jennifer to share how they have anchored their lives in the unchanging covenant of God. Through scripture, real-life stories, and practical tools, this conversation will help you experience the power of His promises in your everyday life. You’ll be reminded that God’s promises are fixed, not fragile—and they still hold true even when your circumstances shift. Bio for Jeremy and Jennifer Jeremy and Jennifer Coley are the voices behind Standing on His Promises. Married for over two decades, they have walked through seasons of joy and heartbreak, learning firsthand that God’s promises hold firm even when life feels uncertain. Together, they lead with authenticity and humor, inviting listeners to grow in faith, hope, and resilience. Jeremy is the lead pastor and Jennifer is the First Lady at their church community in Toledo, Ohio. Their passion is to help people see God’s covenant as more than words on a page—it’s a living reality that changes everyday life. Whether they’re sharing scripture, personal stories, or practical tools, Jeremy and Jennifer create a safe space where listeners feel encouraged to trust God’s “Yes and Amen.” Throughout the episode, we dive into how God’s covenant promises are fixed and unchanging, even when our circumstances shift. Key reflections and scriptural truths include: “God didn’t just make promises—He made a covenant. That’s deeper than a pinky swear.” “Sometimes, you’ve got to say ‘Amen’ even when you don’t feel it yet—because God’s promise still stands.” “The gap between the promise and the fulfillment is where your faith grows roots.” “His covenant didn’t change when your circumstances did. He’s still the same God.” These truths, built on the foundation of 2 Corinthians 1:20, help listeners engage with God's covenant in daily life, anchoring each day in His unbreakable “Yes and Amen.” About House of Prayer Holiness Church – Toledo, OH Address: 1439 Nebraska Ave, Toledo, OH 43607 Contact: (419) 255‑6048 · Email: hophc1439@gmail.com houseofprayerholiness.commapquest.com House of Prayer Holiness Church is a Pentecostal congregation grounded in the Wesleyan‑Holiness tradition.
