“And there are these people that have so little and want to stop and ask how your day is and make sure you're doing okay and that's changed my view of the world”.

Lindsay has given up every Saturday for years working in a hot kitchen in Brisbane, preparing hundreds of hot and hearty meals to take to those who need it.

Through Lindsay and the other volunteers at Dig In, I got to experience the joy of giving.

I also explored the issue of the financial crisis and food waste in Australia.

Jingwei grew up isolated in a remote part of Inner Mongolia, spending her days wandering around the wilderness on her own. As an adult, Jingwei has found a way to cure her inner loneliness through finding life, art and beauty in every object around her.

Jingwei made me wonder if I am already an artists.

I hadn’t until I met Andrew, but Pickleball might be the fastest growing sport in the world.

Andrew is the Chairperson of Pickleball South Australia, and he is on a mission to make this new sport inclusive and welcoming to all, regardless of their background, ability or identity.

Meanwhile, I am on a mission to find out if I can turn sporty.

“I think there's no question that sport has a massive role in shaping public opinion on a whole series of topics and I guess you can ask the question, is it sports responsibility to do those things?”

David and Rajni are the co-founders of Kailash Ashram in the Grampians.

Knowing something was missing from their lives, they found meditation, the teachings of a Guru in India and each other.

They invited me to stay at their ashram to show me how a half hour a day can transform my life.

The Find Your Voice Collective is an accessible arts community where I spent a day learning acting and improvisation with a group of people connected through a love of song, performances and putting themselves out there.
