  • Chris Stigall: Trump Delivers on What He Promised
    Jun 27 2025

President Trump’s approval rating soaring above 50%, with polls like Rasmussen showing it at 53%. His handling of illegal immigration, even more impressive at 54% approval.

And then there’s his handling of the Iran nuclear threat—90 percent of Trump voters support him.

Despite the relentless negativity from the legacy media, it’s no mystery why his numbers are high: Trump’s been winning on illegal immigration since 2016, and Americans are thrilled with his efforts. They don’t want it —period. They reject the associated crime costs, and the Democrat spin masquerading as compassion.

Starting back in 2016, voters made a deal: they promised to support Trump if he’d close the border and clean up the immigration mess.

Well, he’s delivered on that promise.

This is how politics should function: a candidate promises to deliver what the people want, follows through … earns their trust. No cynicism; no regrets; just results.

Americans support a leader who prioritizes their interests.

  • Hugh Hewitt: "They Should Have Done the Deal"
    Jun 26 2025

There are a handful of phrases from the national security crises of the past 50 years that stand out.

President Donald Trump has now added his signature line to that list.

For the sake of brevity, I’ll just note Mr. Reagan in 1987 saying, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

George W. Bush in 2001: "I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon."

Now President Trump has his quote:

"They should have done the deal."

That’s what President Trump told reporters on Air Force One on June 17.

Even if Donald Trump had not returned to the Oval Office in 2025, the Abraham Accords from his first term would have matched any diplomatic achievement of the post World War II era. But the devastation of Iran’s nuclear weapons production facilities has changed not just American history but quite obviously world history as well.

    Thank you, Mr. President.

  • Ed Morrissey: The Rocky Path to Peace Requires Regime Change
    Jun 25 2025

Donald Trump heralded a cease-fire between Israel and Iran on Monday evening – and then spent the next several hours keeping it in place. Trump exploded in frustration Tuesday over the retaliatory exchanges that continued past the deadline, declaring that neither country knows what they’re doing.

By later in the morning, both countries appeared resolved to stop any more attacks. However, Israel remains rightly concerned that the regime in Tehran will not stop its 46-year campaign of genocide against Jews and annihilation of the Jewish state. Already, the Iranians are declaring their intent to reconstitute their nuclear weapons program.

The only real path to peace is through regime change. Neither the US nor the Israelis can force the regime out of power, but we can support the Iranian people and encourage them to lift themselves from the tyranny that has subjugated them since 1979. All of our policies toward Iran should focus on freedom and liberty for a great people, and the end of a regime that only wants to watch the world burn.

  • Seth Liebsohn: A Mission That Should Be Applauded
    Jun 23 2025

In the wake of America’s bombing Iran’s nuclear sites, too many partisans and ideologues have broadcast misplaced objections—saying it was imprudent, didn’t comport with our (or their) foreign policy, and was unconstitutional.

Such malcontents don’t need a gut-check, they need a morality check …and a fact-check. The same Democrats who say this violated war powers, cheered when Presidents Obama and Biden fired missiles and dropped bombs in other countries without congressional approval. Moreover, nothing in the War Powers Act (which may not be constitutional) was violated. The President notified Congress, and he hasn’t had to comply with a withdrawal order from Congress because our B2s already withdrew via U-turn after completing their incredible mission.

The U.S. just broke the sword of a regime at war with America for over 46 years, a regime that has committed the worst acts of terrorism against thousands of Americans, and on the cusp of a nuclear weapon that even its ally, Russia, verified--a regime that has attempted to assassinate our President. This was a pacification mission that should be universally applauded, not denigrated.

  • Albert Mohler: Sanity Prevails
    Jun 23 2025

We saw a win for sanity at the Supreme Court last week as a 6-3 majority of the justices sided with the state of Tennessee in the states ban on so-called transgender treatment for minors.

Tennesseans had overwhelmingly adopted legislation that was challenged in the courts. And, last week, the court found that the law was NOT unconstitutional.

The case is United States v. Skrmetti and it’s particularly important when you consider what would have happened if the court had ruled the other way. It just goes back to the fact that one person gets to nominate justices to the United States Supreme Court.

That person, of course, is the President of the United States.

In his concurring opinion, Justice Clarence Thomas drove home a profoundly important point in his words:

“The court today reserves to the people, their elected representatives and the democratic process, the power to decide how best to address an area of medical uncertainty and extraordinary importance.”

    Thankfully, sanity prevailed.

  • Carol Platt Liebau: The Lefts Problem With Men
    Jun 20 2025

The New York Times “celebrated” Father’s Day in its own, inimitable way. Susannah Meadows, a senior staff editor in the opinion section, devoted an entire piece to trashing her ninety-two-year-old father.

The essay is a lengthy litany of woe. Meadows tells us her father gave her financial anxiety and a genetic predisposition to melanoma . He was a sexist and a drinker. An adulterer, too.

It’s no surprise when Meadows reveals herself as part of the left. Its disdain for males is evident.

That’s the Democrats’ real problem. They can spend $20 million dollars trying to learn how to win back men. But while their party is dominated by unhappy women who dislike and distrust males, they might as well just light that money on fire.

There’s no reason for men to support a political party that offers them nothing but resentment and contempt.

  • Carol Platt Liebau: A Contrast of Crowds
    Jun 19 2025

Last Saturday, the Army celebrated its two hundred fiftieth birthday with a military parade on the national mall. The contrast with the No Kings rally, held the same day, couldn’t have been more striking.

No Kings rallies seemed to be populated predominately by unhappy, aging baby boomers. You had to wonder whether, given their age, they were getting their information only from legacy media. That might account for the fact that some, when interviewed, seemed to be bordering on anti-Trump hysteria.

By contrast, the crowd at the Army parade were younger, multi-ethnic — and happy. They weren’t there to celebrate Donald Trump or his birthday, which coincidentally happened to be the same day. They were honoring the fighting force that has kept the people of our great country both safe and free, often at great personal cost.

That’s a hopeful sign for our future.

  • Seth Liebsohn: Seeing Iran Clearly
    Jun 18 2025

Those of us who have supported Donald Trump since 2015 need no lecture that Trump is abandoning his America First base when he stands by our nation’s greatest ally. It’s not we, Trump, or America who have loyalty problems. We never called Donald Trump “demonic” or said we “hated him passionately.”

Neither Israel nor America is starting a war with Iran—Iran has been at war with both for 46 years. Today’s Iran announced itself to the world by taking 52 Americans hostage for 444 days, then slaughtering 17 Americans in Beirut and another 241 Americans there six months later.

Then there was the capture, torture, and killing of William Buckley; the hijacking of Flight 847 and public execution of Bobby Stethem; the 19 Americans killed in Khobar; the attempted assassination of Donald Trump; and more. Truth in advertising has no greater model than the chant “Death to America.” Now contemplate that country with nuclear weapons. Ignoring that and abandoning an ally equally targeted by Iran is the opposite of America First. It could mean America dead.
