Vinoo Mankad - the Indian opening batsman to score 231 runs, which was the highest score by an Indian Test player at that time. Also known for his orthodox left-arm slow bowling, Vinoo gained the limelight during his days when he ran a batsman out on the non-striker's end before he has bowled the ball. This incident came to be known as Mankading and ICC had to draft new rules to make this a legal process.
Vinoo went on to play 44 test matches for India between 1946 and 1959 and was inducted in the ICC Hall of Fame in 2021.
