À propos de cet audio
Divorce has a devastating effect on all family members involved. It destroys families and creates hardship for the husband, wife, and children. It breaks the covenant we made before God and our friends and relatives at the marriage altar. What does God have to say about divorce? Does the Bible really say that God hates divorce? If so, why?
These next 4 programs revolve around a discussion of those questions with Tim Tucker, on affiliate staff with the Pittsburgh FamilyLife team, Scott and Catherine Mercer (part or our Pittsburgh FamilyLife team), and Tom (associate pastor and licensed professional counselor) and Pam Jones (Pittsburgh area real estate agent).
God meant marriage to be permanent, but in our divorce-happy society where marriages are dissolved so much easier due to "no fault", we really need to get back to Biblical instruction of what God thinks, rather than what mankind thinks. Less broken marriages result in less broken children as well. God knows what works and what doesn't work in preserving a Christ-centered marriage. His ways are best for everyone!
FamilyLife has a lot of great ways to help marriages that are struggling, or just want their good marriages to become even better! One of the resources is this fall's FamilyLIfe "Weekend To Remember" marriage getaway here in the Pittsburgh area. The dates are November 7-9, 2025 at the Marriott North in Cranberry Township. God can use it to bring couples to a oneness with Himself and with each other! Please go to WeekendToRemember.com for more information, and use the group name 'weekendtogether' to receive a $100 discount on the registration fee.
