Jesus surrounded by those who knew him, preaches in the synagogue in Capernaum. Challenged by two matters, the disciples are befuddled by Christ's literal proclamations as the one who came down from Heaven and, to top it all off, are instructed to eat his body and drink his blood. In their reactions they murmured, they quarreled, and some...left. Lets take a look by sitting in the room to see what happened.

Again, the disciples are overwhelmed, dumbfounded, and stunned hearing the news of the resurrected Christ and later when he is taken up to heaven leaving them staring up at the sky! But God sends his messengers to help humanity remembering what Jesus had foretold and invites them to participate in the God's salvific mission by living in the realities of Heaven.

In the Gospel of Matthew Peter, James and John accompanied Jesus to the top of a mountain and Jesus was transfigured before them. Not entirely sure what to do, Peter offers to build tents for Jesus, Moses and Elijah. During his proposal however, God spoke over the scene frightening the disciples. And yet, Jesus says do not be afraid. We are not dumb, but we are limited in our humanity, and God meets us in his kind, loving and compassionate tempo to draw us to himself.

Mark 8: 14-21 Follows Jesus and the disciples across the sea after feeding thousands who attended Jesus' sermons. Yet after witnessing a miracle on such a grand scale, the disciples thought they were short on food with one loaf of bread in the boat.

Lets see how Jesus helps his stunned disciples and how he sticks by our side helping us grow to understand all things concerning God.

All we have is the "Love of Jesus." And sometimes everything we have known goes out the window! We can be well educated, thoughtful, talkative, but all that can come to a halt into silence. The more often that happens, the better. So let us think about and only about the love that Jesus has for us.

In Psalm 63, David's soul sings praise to and of God's goodness, and reminds himself of God's promises made. But his environment was not that way; he was hiding in the wilderness!

Lets take a look at how we can be the masters of our hearts, minds, bodies and souls by actively turning to God, acknowledging who he is and be an active participant of praising his goodness so that we may be a conduit of his peace to others.
