    Today our service for the second Sunday of Advent is from Halecroft Grange Care Home.

    Earlier this year, Rev Mark Nam received a letter with an incredible story from Alma, who lives at Halecroft Grange. In it, she thanked him for the service, explaining that during the pandemic two or three residents had started to meet to pray and watch the online service together.

    That group has now grown to 30 residents, who come together every Sunday for an hour of worship.Today's online service is led by Alma and Mother Clair Jaquiss as they welcome us to join their community in worship.

    "We will remember" | A Service for Remembrance Sunday

    Today our service for Remembrance Sunday comes from three locations: HMS Excellent in Portsmouth, RAF Cranwell and the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre at Beckett House.

    In this special service we were invited by HMS Excellent to come and film the Royal Navy drill and parade rehearsal for the National Service of Remembrance, which will be held at the Cenotaph.

    Our Service is led by three armed forces chaplains, Rev Timothy Ndegwa RN, Rev Dr [Wg Cdr] Chris Hodder and Rev Catherine Gillham CF and we will hear from serving personnel about what remembrance means to them from a personal and Christian perspective.

    Our service today is from St Paul's, Barrow-in-Furness in South Cumbria in the Diocese of Carlisle.Rev Dr Robin Ham and members of St Paul's will be celebrating Bible Sunday, as we mark the importance of the Bible as the foundation of the Christian faith, giving thanks for God's word and reflecting together on its impact on individual lives and communities.

    Prayers will be led for the Diocese of Carlisle and its Cumbria Way project, including Rising Faith Barrow. Music will be led by the members of the St Paul's Worship team and we'll hear from Amy, who shares her journey of hearing God speak through the Bible after first attending a baby and toddler group.
