À propos de cet audio
What does sustainability mean to you? However you define it, you’ve come to the right place.
Welcome to Spot On Sustainability, where we put Calgary’s brightest sustainability ideas on your radar. From groundbreaking university research to community-driven innovation, this show spotlights the people shaping a more resilient, sustainable future.
In every episode, we’ll take you inside Calgary’s universities and labs to hear from students, professors, and innovators who are changing the way we live - through science, ideas, and fresh perspectives.
This semester, season one is housed at Mount Royal University, situated on an ancient and storied land steeped in ceremony and history that, until recently, was occupied exclusively by people indigenous to this place. With gratitude and reciprocity, this podcast acknowledges the relationships to the land and all beings, and the songs, stories and teachings of the Siksika Nation, the Piikani Nation, the Kainai Nation, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda Nation (consisting of the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney Nations), the people of the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Métis.
Spot On is produced in partnership with Sustainable Calgary, whose mission is to promote, encourage, and support community level actions and initiatives that move Calgary towards a sustainable future. To learn more, visit https://www.sustainablecalgary.org.
This season of Spot On is hosted by Abiola Famakinwa, edited by Julianna Adair, and produced by Bella Coco. It's supervised by Dr. Mauricio Latapí and Jess Schmidt, with additional support from Celia Lee and the team at Sustainable Calgary.
