À propos de cet audio
On this episode ofGaslit, we dive intowhat you should know if you’re pregnant in Texas—whether you want to continue your pregnancy or seek an abortion. We’re joined byIris Garcia, Social Services Coordinator atTexas Equal Access Fund (TEA Fund), to discuss the harsh realities in Texas, from alarming maternal and infant mortality rates to severe abortion restrictions. Despite these challenges, we know what makes a difference: community support, abortion funds, and advocacy.
Iris walks us through the resources TEA Fund provides, like their My Choice Not a Crisis campaign and infant resource drives. We also break down the deceptive practices of crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) and how abortion funds have stepped up to fill the gaps left by a government that has abandoned us.
