  • Why the Articles of Faith still matter and how they help us become peacemakers
    Oct 21 2025

As we begin a new season of Where We Gather, we’re diving into the Articles of Faith.

These 13 simple, powerful statements teach us what it means to live a Christ-centered life in a complicated world.

In this episode, I'm addressing the gift of agency, the call to be a peacemaker, and how the principles found in the Articles of Faith can help in the gathering of Israel today.

You’ll walk away with hope for the world we’re living in and confidence that you can become the peacemaker the Lord needs you to be.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • How agency connects to peacemaking and why both are essential in preparing for Christ’s return
    • How the Articles of Faith can anchor your conversations and bring new meaning to everyday discipleship
    • Why the Articles of Faith are just as relevant today as they were when Joseph Smith was inspired to write them

Join my email list for weekly insights, scripture links, and Christ-centered resources that will strengthen your faith as you fulfill your part in the Lord's work of gathering.

  • 15 - Finding Jesus in the Middle of Grief w/Rhonda Steed
    Oct 14 2025

When life feels heavy and heaven feels silent, how do we still believe?

In this tender conversation, I sit down with my friend Rhonda Steed to talk about grief, prayer, and the quiet ways the Savior shows up when we need Him most. Rhonda shares her powerful experience of feeling Christ beside her in the temple during a time of deep loss and how that moment changed the way she prays, loves, and trusts Him today.

Whether you’re in a season of sorrow or simply searching for peace, this episode will remind you that Jesus is always near, especially in the middle of the mud.

    You'll learn:

    1. How to feel the Savior’s presence in your pain — and recognize His comfort even when your circumstances don’t change.
    2. A new way to think about prayer — moving from “shopping list prayers” to heartfelt conversations that align our will with God’s.
    3. Why faith is found in the returning — how small, consistent acts of devotion (even one verse or one prayer) keep us close to Christ through every season.

If this episode resonated with you, consider leaving a written review or sharing it with a friend who is walking through a season of grief.

  • Bonus: A quick thought from my personal scripture study to help you prepare for General Conference
    Oct 3 2025

In this short, off the cuff bonus episode, I'm sharing a quick thought I had while studying the Book of Mormon this morning. I think General Conference will provide the answers to being delivered from whatever you are currently feeling held captive by.

If we were sitting together in my living room, gathered together as disciples of Christ and as friends, this is the exact type of thing we'd be talking about.

  • 11 - The simplest way to grow closer to Christ
    Sep 9 2025

You know how sometimes you feel disconnected from the Savior and you're not sure why? Yeah, me too. That's exactly what we're talking about today.

I've been restudying President Henry B. Eyring's April 2025 General Conference talk "Draw Near Unto Me." He uses a simple friendship analogy that just makes so much sense - of course that's how we connect with Christ! We do the same things we'd do with a good friend we're separated from.

President Eyring shares a simple 3 step process you can easily apply to your life today so you can deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ.

We're also discussing why the "this is just who I am" mentality can be such a slippery slope. Yes, you are a child of God and He doesn't make mistakes. But also, there is so much more to you and that's exciting!

Not only will this episode help you prepare your heart for the October 2025 General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it's an opportunity to combine lessons from our First Presidency with personal scripture study.

  • 10 - True conversion has to start here
    Sep 2 2025

Are you worried about a loved one who's struggling with their faith? Or maybe you feel like church attendance is a chore at this point?

In this episode, we're diving into the story of Alma the Elder to learn why true conversion can only happen through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What you'll discover in this episode:

    • Why forcing or shaming others into faith never works and what your actual role is when loved ones stray from the gospel
    • The difference between surface-level church participation and true Christ-centered conversion. Sometimes we're focusing our efforts on the wrong thing.
    • How to find peace when someone you love seems far from faith.

Whether you're a parent watching children drift away, a spouse concerned about your partner's testimony, or someone struggling to "just show up" to church yourself, Alma's story offers hope and practical guidance. You'll learn how true disciples focus on testifying of Christ rather than trying to control outcomes, and discover why your own conversion to the Savior (not to programs or people) is the foundation for everything else.
