After a brief Super Bowl Radio Row tangent, Ovies & Giglio lock in on college basketball as the “unofficial” start of the season arrives with Duke vs. UNC. The Blue Devils look like they’re in a tier of their own in the ACC, while the Tar Heels have completely flipped the conversation from two weeks ago — when the pressure was squarely on Hubert Davis. Is the pressure off? Will it ever be for Hubert? Maybe that’s not even the point anymore, as UNC has settled into clearer roles and better overall play. Meanwhile, NC State picked up another road win. Strip away the noise, and the Wolfpack is having a pretty solid season. But the rest of the schedule will ultimately decide whether Will Wade has truly figured out what this team is heading into March.
