#mlbfreeagency is off and running and the #whitesox have yet to make a splash of note, especially in their bullpen. #kenleyjansen and #kylefinnegan have been signed by the #detroittigers. #guff and Brian Anderson discuss the Sox slow march into free agency and if they'll do anything of note going forward. Plus, the duo discuss the Sox getting the #1 pick in next year's #mlb draft. Will #rochcholowsky be the guy? It appears to be the case, but Guff says don't let the #1 pick mask the need to upgrade.

Will they or won’t they? The #whitesox are coming off of another 100+ loss season, but this one is different than a year ago when they set an #mlb record with a 141 loss season. They had promise and hope from many of the prospects in the latest rebuild. #guff believes that they can compete for the 3rd #wildcard spot if they spend wisely…say $100 million on a payroll. The #whitesox currently only have $37.1 million on the books for 2026 before arbitration. After a season where their young core showed great promise in ‘25, #guff believes it’s time to make a small splash in 2026 and thinks they could compete for a WC spot with the right moves. After a third straight 100-loss season, one things is clear. This time, it at least feels different after a boatload of rookies made their #whitesox debut in 2025. #guff and Brian Anderson graded 8 of the rookies near the season's midway point, and today, are back with final grades for 9 players, 4 pitchers and 5 position players. It's not all A's & B's, but safe to say, there were some very nice surprises. From #colsonmontgomery to #shanesmith to #chasemeidroth to #kyleteel to #mikevasil, Guff and BA give you full assessments of an impressive rookie class.

Guff loved the story of Montgomery, while BA held him to a higher standard. A healthy 'point-counterpoint' edition of the White Sox REKAP Podcast!
