À propos de cet audio
Since it was founded in 2005, the Jackson EMC Foundation has given almost $20 million in grants to local nonprofits through the Operation Round-up program. Cooperative members round up their bills to the nearest dollar and donate the difference, supporting community-based programs. Duffie Dixon, marketing director for the Gwinnett County Public Library, which serves nearly one million Gwinnett residents, joins Your Power Your Community host Karen Ewing to talk about the positive effect Foundation grants have on Library patrons, including a life-changing moment for a participant in the Career Online High School program, which received a $20,000 grant.
