  • Ukraine Peace Deal & Israel’s Genocide — What the Media Isn’t Telling You
    Dec 3 2025

In this episode of The Source, senior editor Zain Raza speaks with international lawyer Dimitri Lascaris to unpack critical geopolitical developments through a perspective largely missing from the mainstream media. The conversation begins with the emerging U.S. peace proposal for Ukraine and the growing contradictions between Washington’s diplomatic track and Europe’s escalating military support. They then turn to Gaza, where the so-called ceasefire has coincided with a sharp drop in Western media attention despite ongoing Israeli violations, mounting civilian casualties and the broader political shifts triggered by UN Security Council Resolution 2803. Finally, they examine the major U.S. military buildup in the Caribbean near Venezuela and Europe’s striking silence in the face of escalating tensions — raising pressing questions about international law, regional stability and the limits of European independence.

ABOUT DIMITRI LASCARIS: Dimitri Lascaris is a journalist and lawyer. As a lawyer, he specializes in class action litigation, international law and human rights. He was a member of the shadow cabinets of the Green Parties of Canada and Quebec. In 2020, he ran for the leadership of the Green Party of Canada and came in second.
