  • 25. Jay Christopher King—creativity, challenges, and contact
    Dec 13 2025
Jay was one of the founding members of The Experiencer Group and has worked to create a safe community for people who’ve had direct contact. Along with Kelly Chase, he’s been immersed in the creative process of documentary filmmaking and podcasting for COSMOSIS, a series that explores the deepest mysteries. In this episode, we wrestle with what it means to try to share these challenging experiences, and be true to an elusive "something" that seems to present itself as unknowable. • 24. Bryn Chainey—Rabbit Trap, and brave filmmaking
    Oct 19 2025
Rabbit Trap is a movie about fairies. It’s also a story of the landscape, and the yearning for connection. Bryn Chainey is a young British director with a vision of how a film should feel, and the emotions it can generate. The film features Dev Patel and Rosie McEwen and a mysterious third character, played by Jade Croot. But the real stars are the sound and the land. We talk about movies, folklore, inspiration, healing, and the mystery of the creative process. Rabbit Trap is available for streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Google Play. Part of me wanted to wait to publish this one, but it was done and I want it out there. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • 23. Kristen—Owls and transformation
    Oct 16 2025
Kristen shared an experience with me in the autumn of 2006. We saw owls, and that event changed my life. She shares her memories and insights of those twilight moments, and a lot more. Her life has had its own challenges and new beginnings. Kristen played an important role in my story, and I've been wanting to do this interview for years. This is a lively conversation on life, wilderness, spirituality, and friendship. We talked about a photo from our second trip into the mountains, and it's included in the second link below. Owls at sunset — This is the second post on my Hidden Experience blog, from March 4, 2009. The first comment is from Whitley Strieber, the second is from Mac Tonnies. Kristy talks about owls (and God) — Another blog post, a follow up with Kristen, from March 12, 2009. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • 22. Joshua Cutchin—Voicing the Self
    Sep 30 2025
This is a wide-ranging conversation with one of our great thinkers. Joshua Cutchin has published seven books in less than ten years, and each of these has pushed at the boundaries of how we understand the paranormal. This includes UFOs, cryptids, fairies, psi phenomenon, consciousness, the creative process, and death. We focus on the need to express our first person voice. There is no one I enjoy talking with more! • Terence McKenna and Kenneth Ring on UFOs and NDEs
    Sep 18 2025
This is a short conversation between two extraordinary thinkers, Terence McKenna and Kenneth Ring. The book The Omega Project was written by Ring, and in it he explores the relationship between the UFO phenomenon and the Near Death Experience. This audio was lifted from a video shot in Prague, Czechoslovakia during the International Transpersonal Conference in June 1992, known at Prague Gnosis. This was initially posted on my Hidden Experience blog back in January of 2014, and the audio quality was terrible. I'm reposting it with enhanced audio, and it's now a much improved listening experience. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

    Sep 13 2025
I started a substack account. I've been wanting to get back into blogging, and also to have a way to help promote my podcast. I wrote a short essay about my frustrations with how "disclosure" has dominated the entirety of the UFO community. It's titled Disclosure Without a Spark, the full text is linked HERE. “The UFO as evolutionary function, seeding new myths and meanings” This from Kelly Chase. We discuss her recent essay, Unfurling the Myth. • My twenty-minute talk from The Archives of the Impossible
    Aug 13 2025
This is a short audio post, and it isn’t numbered because it’s not a formal interview. Earlier this year, I gave a short talk about my work and my own experiences. This was at the Archives of the Impossible conference at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I was invited to this impressive event by Jeff Kripal and Karin Austin. I thank them at the beginning. I also said this was a big deal for me, and it was. The audio of my talk was lifted from a youtube video put out by Rice University, and here's a link to that video. Learn more about your ad choices.
