One of the best-known collections of W. B. Yeats' prose, The Celtic Twilight explores the old connection between the Irish people and the magical world of fairies. It has since been used by many other fantasy and horror writers and poets. This collection explores Carcosa and other fictional cities found in nineteenth-century poetry and short stories. In The Celtic Twilight, Yeats explores the world of fairies, ghosts and spirits. The title refers to the pre-dawn hours when the Druids performed their rituals. The work comprises tales recounted to the poet by his friends, acquaintances and various country folk.

This audiobook collects three short stories by W. B. Yeats: "Rosa Alchemica", "The Tables of the Law", and "The Adoration of the Magi". All three of these esoteric stories feature the character of Michael Robartes (as well as the character of Owen Aherne in the second two tales), and though it may seem obvious that it’s this character that connects all of these tales, what really connects them all is Yeats imagining the hidden, mystical fraternities of old tradition which preoccupied much of his writings and which he personally longed for initiation into.
