Welcome to the Fabled Stables, a magical building filled with one-of-a-kind creatures, including the Gargantula, the Yawning Abyss, the Hippopotamouse...and Auggie. Auggie is the only human boy at the Stables, and he takes care of all the other animals. The Fabled Stables have a mind of their own, and every so often, the building SHAKES and SHUDDERS, TWITCHES and SPUTTERS, to make room for a new arrival! It’s Auggie’s job to venture out and rescue a new creature from mortal danger. But will he be able to complete his mission before it’s too late.

Jules' family moves into an old abandoned house. Her parents love it, but she's frightened and feels a sense of foreboding. When she sees a pale face in an upstairs window, she can't stop wondering about the eerie presence on the top floor - in a room with a locked door. Her fear replaced by fascination, Jules becomes determined to make contact with the mysterious figure and to unlock the door. Past and present intersect as she and her ghostly friend discover the fate of the family who lived in the house all those many years ago.

Olivia and Natasha are the best of friends. From hanging out after school to passing notes in class, the two are practically inseparable. Until one day, one of Natasha's notes to Olivia is altered, leading Olivia on a mysterious trek to the local cemetery. It is there that she meets a ghostly girl from the past who has an eerie warning for Olivia and her friend.

Shona and her family no longer live in Scotland, but the influence the country and her grandmother have had on her is undeniable. Her parents don't want to believe it, but something suspicious occurs when Shona falls asleep. It's almost as if she goes to another place entirely in her dreams. As Shona continues to have these unfathomable dreams, she becomes entangled in something she never could have expected.

Ghoulia, Auntie Departed, and Uncle Misfortune are ready for a vacation. They pack up their things and head to Fancy Manor to visit Cousin Dilbert and Auntie Witch. Fancy Manor is nice and rundown, and it’s on Lake Mystery, providing lots of opportunity for swimming and other summer fun. But there’s a hitch in the plan. Because Fancy Manor seems abandoned, the town plans to reclaim the property in just a few days, unless a living heir comes forward.

Kit may be the youngest wizard ever, but she sure doesn’t feel like the best wizard. Her magic just keeps going wrong, and other weird stuff is happening too: talking animals, exploding fireballs, and a strange new arrival in the local park. Even Dogon (the half dog, half dragon) is droopy! So Kit and her two best friends - animal-whispering Alita and studious Josh - set off with Faith the librarian to investigate this wild magic that’s causing so much commotion. Their journey takes them to a Scottish loch, where they meet an eco-conscious wizard and some very grumpy mermaids.

Auggie loves his job at the Fabled Stables, but he fears the day when it will come to an end. Fen keeps dropping hints that caretakers don’t stay forever, and it’s giving Auggie the grumps. Thankfully, there always seems to be a new stall to fill. This time, the stables set Auggie on a quest to rescue a beast called the Shibboleth - but, the portal leads Auggie and Fen to the lair of the evil Rooks!

A young ghost arrives, and he seems to be fading away. Turns out, the ghost has forgotten his own name and is in danger of vanishing entirely - all because there’s no one left alive who remembers him. Not on Ghoulia’s watch! If she can help the ghost figure out his name, she’ll be able to keep him safe. But will Ghoulia be able to discover the truth before it’s too late?

One dark and stormy night, Ghoulia’s cousin Dilbert comes to visit her at Crumbling Manor. She’s confused - she didn’t invite him, and it turns out that Dilbert’s a real grouch. He complains about everything! When Ghoulia tries to track down Auntie Departed to find out why she invited Dilbert, she finds that Auntie has vanished. And the doorbell won’t stop ringing. One after another, Ghoulia’s friends arrive - all with the same mysterious invitation in hand. As the gang searches Crumbling Manor for Auntie Departed, one of their own goes missing.
