Last Stand: Battle Group SS is an account of an epic last stand at the end of WWII. The inhabitants of a small town attempt to fight the Russian hordes as they rampage toward them. Yet the vehicle escapes, and the Afghan’s stationed at Bagram insist he shot at one of theirs.

It wasn’t always that way, but after a shaky start, he has learned how to handle the gun like an expert. There is no looking back. But Hawkins is about to face his biggest challenge yet. On patrol near the Afghan city of Ghazni, they run into a strong force of Taliban.

The war is heating up, and they have no time for R&R before the Hueys take off and carry them to their next mission. A Vietcong fortified town in the Mekong Delta, a stronghold heavily defended by troops and heavy weapons. The Cav’s job is to go in, take the town and locate and destroy the enemy. To give the VC a hard, brutal lesson they will never forget.

Except the same master sergeant has command of his platoon.
