Since returning home recently from her never-to-be-forgotten cruise vacation, Samantha Rite has been busy trying to catch up at work and settle back into her normal day-to-day routine. Little does she know, her simple and quiet life is about to be thrown into turmoil as she has unknowingly become a pawn in a deadly game of deception. When Carlita Garlucci’s annoying tenant Elvira Cobb turns up missing, Carlita and her daughter spring into action and begin looking for clues to her whereabouts. They soon discover a mysterious message on Elvira’s answering machine. The message is from a man with possible NY mob ties. They fear that Elvira has put all of their lives in jeopardy after the mysterious man is found floating facedown in the Savannah River.

The Garlucci family business, “Savannah Swag”, is finally open, and business is brisk. Carlita is happy with the way her son is managing the pawnshop and their new part-time employees, so she can focus on renting out their last vacant apartment. When a mysterious man shows up on her doorstep with wads of cash, offering to pay the deposit and first month's rent and even offers to sweeten the deal with some extra cash, Carlita is tempted. She quickly discovers that the man is not all he seems to be.

Millie Sanders has settled into her new position as assistant cruise director of the Siren of the Seas and is loving every minute of the adventure and excitement. A fresh wave of passengers have just boarded, and as the deck party gets into full swing, a frantic cry of man overboard is shouted over the loudspeakers. Millie rushes towards the crowd that has gathered on the portside upper deck and watches in horror as the ship's crew desperately tries to save a young man who has just gone over.

Despite Millie’s concern over their date, he refuses to listen to her. Deciding it won’t hurt to check on him, Millie shows up during the date and witnesses something disturbing. Determined to help her friend and share what she knows, it backfires, and she is reprimanded and told to butt out.

Millie returns from the trip and discovers that Sophia has become ill. Her illness takes a chilling turn when the ship’s doctor discovers the woman has been poisoned and all of the clues point to Millie as the one responsible. Sophia accuses Millie and files a formal complaint against her. The head of security promises to get to the bottom of it, but time is running out. Will Millie and the gang solve the mystery of the peculiar poisoning...or will she be fired from her job and sent back to the States?

For Millie and the Siren of the Seas' crew members, the Southampton departure is bittersweet, as they leave behind new friends that they’ve made, including Halbert Pennyman, an area homeless man. Within hours of the ship leaving port to head back to Miami, the ship's chief of security discovers the Southampton Strangler could very well be on board. As disturbing events begin to unfold, Millie is convinced that not only is the strangler on board, but she's also managed to get on the killer’s radar.

To up Millie's anxiety, Andy is taking a vacation to visit his family. He changes his mind at the last minute and decides to bring his sister on board instead. Disaster strikes when Scout goes missing and it's a race against time as Millie tries to find the family's pup before Fiona, who gifted Scout to her father, finds out.

Carlita, Mercedes, and Tony are gearing up to celebrate their first Thanksgiving at their new home in historic Savannah, Georgia. Along with the excitement of the upcoming holiday season, there’s a lingering sadness because part of their family won’t be there to celebrate. When Carlita’s friend, Victoria “Tori” Montgomery, invites the Garlucci family to her “Merry Masquerade” party at Montgomery Hall, Carlita is thrilled to have something to take her mind off the approaching holiday.

Millie is shocked to learn that not only is her close friend’s name at the top of the list, but other loyal crewmembers’ names are listed as well. Her friend swears she never signed the petition, and Millie jumps in to investigate after suspecting there’s more going on than having the purser removed. Millie’s investigation turns into the adventure of a lifetime while visiting two world famous UNESCO sites – the Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae but ends up being much more than she bargained for.
