Death isn’t always the end. I was a soldier, fighting for the lives of the whole world, when I went and got myself obliterated by this magic alien monster. I figured that was it. Game over, done. But, then I woke up in a different body, in a strange world full of dust and ruins, with awesome martial arts skills I’d never had before. Not to mention a chi gift thing that seemed to work a lot like magic. And, there were these words seared into my brain like a motivational quote: You can save them. You can save all of them.

I was a bit of a rogue, picking pockets and seducing women, without a care for the future. Now, with the aid of a beautiful enchantress and a pet rat dragon, I'm out for revenge. Trouble is, my target is one of the most powerful, ruthless men in the city. But what he doesn't know is that I'm no longer playing by his rules. I'm playing by my own. No matter what dark, hidden secrets I uncover in the process.

I thought I had grown powerful enough. I thought I'd managed to tame all my enemies. But as the saying goes, there's always a bigger fish. And that means I no longer have a choice. I have to risk everything I've accomplished until now. Because I'm no longer a low-status loser, and I will not accept anything less than total victory. It's either that or death. Look out world. Here I come.

It started out just like any other job, stealing an artifact of unknown origin for a beautiful client. Turns out, that client was literally not of this world, and the artifact was the key to the kind of life I'd only seen on the screen.

When training ends, real life begins. A stadium built to hold insane numbers of spectators. Thousands of competitors. Multiple matches every single day. The qualifying tournament has begun. I have to fight, day in, day out, all the way to the end, with only my natural talents and the women I love to help me. And some of those I’m competing against will stop at nothing to see me fail.

When I took my place as a mid-level boss for a crime syndicate, I thought my life would be easy. Turns out, I just attracted a much more powerful enemy, one that could literally drag my demon-powered ass all the way down into Hell. Looks like I'm going to need to find out just how far murders and mayhem can take me. Good thing I have my own personal Incubus along for the ride, and that leveling up is an absolute pleasure!

Rule number two: Know what you want. I made my own damn rules. I got my revenge. But if I thought I could go back to my old way of life, I was wrong. The Bastard: Book 2 is the story of Mordie, a hero with a more flexible sense of morality than most. It is set in a Camelot that never existed, and is a tale of swords, secrets, magic, revenge, betrayal, and even a dragon or two.

The Wastes were just the beginning. I thought the girls and I would be safe once we made it to the caves. I was wrong. Very f--king wrong. Monsters, foul creatures like I could barely imagine, descendants of the alien f--ks that had already killed me the first time around. And to make matters worse, the god-damned caverns themselves seemed to be trying to kill us. Okay, so maybe I was this legendary swordsman with martial arts skills up the wazoo and a powerful chi gift that worked like magic thrown into the bargain. But maybe even that wouldn’t be enough.

All I knew was that there were these monster girls I was supposed to protect from an endless horde of semi-human things.

Maybe this world full of jaw-droppingly beautiful women and martial arts magic is just some sort of delusion. Maybe this strong, capable body I’ve found myself in isn’t real. But if it is, then there’s a path that could lead me to everything I’ve ever desired. Wealth. Women. Power. It’s the path of a Champion, and I might just have what it takes to walk along it. I just need to survive the training first.

Two novel-length sci-fi stories in one? Check. A mix of hot human and alien women? Check. Capable MCs who know how to get things done? Double check.

There’s a powerful darkness growing inside me. I can feel it, igniting my blood with a lust for death. It gets stronger each time I use my magic and much, much harder to control. And yet, I don’t have a choice. Destiny is calling. What shape it will take, I don’t yet know, but my very blood yearns to answer that call.

That’s the rule when traveling through Hell. It may sound exciting to ride through Hell to save one of your lovers, but in reality it’s full of blood and magic, orcs and Hellhounds, secrets and revelations. The Wraith King’s minions will do anything to capture or kill me. But I’ve got a plan to strike back.

Dead or alive? Not a hard question, and pretty easy to figure out either way. Usually. Except I've somehow woken up in a place called Hell, and I'm not entirely sure I died first. I thought it was a practical joke. Until a warrior woman tried to kill me and I rescued an elf and a succubus from slavers. Then I started to realize something strange was going on. I didn't know the half of it.

The first of the trials was just the beginning. The next ones are just as dangerous, but they come with an opportunity as well. They’re all about leveling up, more than I ever thought possible. If I can help my women (and my monster dog) make it through, we'll unlock the keys to infinite Chi.

The first stage is done, but the World Core hasn’t finished with us yet. Now, the trials are about to begin, and time is ticking. Between the carnivorous plants and the mutated competitors, my whole team needs to collect as much Chi as possible if we hope to survive. Leveling up is the name of the game. Growing more powerful to compete with the monsters standing in our way. That’s where my special Chi skill comes into play. It gives us an advantage that others can’t match. And the distinct side effect that comes with it? Well, there has to be some benefit to the new rules.

The apocalypse began on Bring Your Dog to Work Day. One moment, everything was normal. Then the World Core woke up, and slaughtered almost everything alive so it could harvest their Chi. After that, it rebuilt everything and put the survivors in a game-like environment, pitting them against monsters and each other. The rules are different now. Chi power is as important as being able to fight. I'm one of the survivors. With my knowledge of martial arts and my special Chi skill, I'm turning myself into a force to be reckoned with.

When I was young, a powerful mage killed my family, and I had no way to stop him. But at fifty, having lived a safe but miserable life, I find a way to start over. To be reincarnated into my younger self's body. And to take my revenge. Using a unique training style, I will: Learn to cultivate my Ki and use it to fight. Level up my skills and keep them secret. Kill the men who ruined my life. And I'll have a little fun along the way.
