Short stories have always been a sort of instant access into an author’s brain, their soul and heart. They can lift our lives into locations, people and experiences with a sweep of landscape, narration, feelings and emotions that is difficult to achieve elsewhere. The plains of the American Mid-West are home to some very fine exponents of the literary craft. Throughout this vast landscape stories seem to be everywhere offering their experiences as works just awaiting the final touches and flourishes of these famed authors. They deliver in very talented ways.

The book, Diary of a Conspiracy Theorist, tells the experience of an alleged conspiracy theorist seeing through the lies behind the lockdowns and Covid-19. Scott Anderson, a twin and engineer born and living in the Scottish Highlands was just a normal guy working in construction in 2019, whilst he was aware of previous events and their dishonest backgrounds, he knew something big was coming but it wasn’t quite as he expected.

When the unimaginable happens not once, but twice, in the same isolated ranching community, its dazed people feel a cloud settling over their towns and backroads. After time passes and questions deepen, a newspaper crime reporter returns home to meet up with a homicide detective and a pair of songwriters to make sense of what took place here. He learns that the shadows of the past bleed into crimes of the present.

In this volume our classic authors turn their words to the religion of Christianity. It’s a fascinating subject for our authors who can explore faith and belief in ways that we rarely subject ourselves to. Whatever your faith these stories raise questions and that are of interest to us all.
