This was my journey leaving home at age twenty-three up until this current time at age sixty-one, writing this book. All that I could bring to California was my faith in God, a few dollars, my clothes, and a deeper calling in my life! How could I walk away and leave everyone behind in Connecticut like Abraham did? Was I right or wrong? Could I make it, or would I fail? My book will challenge you to see further than the natural things that you can imagine.

In Healing the Wounds of Childhood and Culture, author Dr. Don St. John offers a new model of wholeness, and he challenges us to embark on an adventure of a lifetime. It awakens us to the multiple effects of personal traumas and of the wounds inflicted by our culture. Blending his personal and clinical experiences, St. John discusses why many have failed to recognize how their potential has been limited.

This book discusses foundational practices from a community aspect, which includes the police. Instead of claiming a higher standard for the police, we discuss a single standard for all community members, which the police exemplify. We discuss the Peelian Principles as a means to re-establish everyone’s responsibility in crime prevention–then we can practice proper accountability.

Reach from Beyond is based on a true story. What started as a traffic accident on the Illinois Interstate Highway system turned into a murder investigation. The division of criminal investigation with the Illinois State Police was called to take over the investigation. Agent Josh Wood will be assigned to make contact with the victim from somewhere beyond the normal channels of his job.
