With Morphus still absent on her mysterious expedition, a surprise request from an old ally sets the star scavengers on a path to developing a new weapon against Goliath. And it sees them doing what they do best–hunting for crystals of power inside alien wrecks.

With both Morphus and Goliath travelling the galaxy, each looking for a way to defeat the other, the star scavengers, Hudson Powell and Tory Bellona, find themselves alone and fighting for their lives.
