I'm a Fate witch, which qualifies me to become queen of the Royal Covens, assuming I can survive the final trial. Sarina's dying breath took all of the men in my bond and cast them beyond time and space, trapping them in alternate worlds that only my power can cross. Their fate is in my hands, and I'll have to tap into my power now more than ever to get them back into my arms where they belong.

“Are you feeling sorry for yourself again?” a male voice teased, filtering into the room as the Dark Mage walked right past my wards. “Go away, Hendrik,” I growled. Hendrik stepped out of the shadows as he peeled off his coat. “I could use another session,” he said, grinning as he gave the offer to spar a double-meaning. “Last time was a mistake,” I snapped as I went back to the vampire stake I was working on. I sliced my dagger over the tip, sending a tendril of wood falling to the ground. “We’re just being influenced by the demon.”

I’m a reincarnated fate witch and rightful queen of the Royal Covens. None of that is why I’m going to get out of this, though. I’m a mortal-born witch in this lifetime, which means I’m scrappy as hell. I’ll use my strengths against their pride and get the Royal Covens to turn on each other. While they’re cat-fighting it out, I’ll use the opportunity to work together with my guys and make an epic escape.

I made a deal with a demon and it didn’t end well. What else is new? But this is the right path. I know it. All that matters to me is getting all of my mates in one place. Including my newest addition: an incubus named Asher. I used the last of my power to imprison Lucifer. Had I held onto it without my mates to ground me, I would have died. So, in retrospect, I’m just glad to be alive. And now I need to figure out how to get all of my nine mates in one place. Because the realms are trembling.
