Remember the story of the Ant and the Grasshopper? The Fox and the Sour Grapes? The Boy Who Cried Wolf? These wonderful tales and hundreds more have been passed down to us over the centuries. The man credited with writing them, Aesop, was an Ancient Greek slave born about 620 BC. Aesop is known as a fabulist or story teller credited with a number of fables shining glaringly true light on our human foibles now collectively known as Aesop's Fables.

Uncle Wiggily Longears is the main character and beloved icon of a series of children's stories by American author Howard R. Garis. He began writing the stories for the Newark News in 1910. Garis penned an Uncle Wiggily tale every day for more than 52 years, and published some 79 books in his lifetime. Along the road on his many joyous and exciting episodic adventures Uncle Wiggily has run into several very questionable characters including: the Woozy Wolf, Bushy Bear, Skillery Skallery Alligator, and the fierce Bobcat.

Uncle Wiggily has been around now for over 100 years delighting children, gently educating, and enchanting generations of faithful fans. That he is still as popular today as he was over a century ago is testament to the wit and character instilled in these tall tales by the author and the kind, old rabbit gentleman he created so long ago!

Mother Goose in Prose is a collection of classic children's stories based on Mother Goose nursery rhymes. It was the first children's book written by L. Frank Baum.

"The Hunting of the Snark (An Agony in 8 Fits)" is a poem written by English writer Lewis Carroll. It is typically categorized as a nonsense poem. Written from 1874 to 1876, the poem borrows the setting, some creatures, and eight portmanteau words from Carroll's earlier poem "Jabberwocky" in his children's novel Through the Looking-Glass (1871).
