Over half of all people living in the world today experience divorce. But what comes with divorce and custody battles? Surely, we feel both positive and negative emotions during the most difficult and transformative time in our lives. Surely, our ex and our children are going through some profound senses of loss - loss of dreams and loss of future plans. Loss of belongings, their home, their car, loss of family, loss of children. Some divorcees go through significantly more difficulty in adjusting than other.

Before we can analyze the narcissist, we must first get to know the narcissist and his true motivations and his true nature. We will analyze the traits of narcissism and narcissistic personality disorder according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM IV) criteria.

Many people don't realize it, but a person can become devastatingly emotionally damaged after suffering from bullying and victimization from one or more narcissistic abusers. Women who are prone to be with abusive, narcissistic men often had abusive or emotionally absent fathers. These women are attracted to the alpha male. They are vibrant, alive, motivated, nurturing, and loving. They are the prime target for the hungry needs-starved narcissist.

Most people know that the narcissist is nearly always a cheat. He is constantly grooming more and more narcissistic supply (love, adoration, fear, admiration) from those who are willing to bless him with it. He collects friends on Facebook and at work - friends who can serve as alternate partners. He even tests the waters with long-term friends from childhood, despite being sexually unattracted to them for all intents and purposes.

Your child or someone you know what just diagnosed with autism. Many feelings are flooding through you right now. You aren't sure what to think or how to feel. Just like an autistic child, you want to put a name to the feelings and emotions that are affecting you right now. You want someone to validate how you are feeling. You want to connect with someone who feels the same way that you might be feeling.

Many people reach middle adulthood confused as to why they have felt significant amounts of suffering throughout their lives. Most of my listeners who write to me are still trying to pick up the pieces in their lives from broken childhoods. They are still confused about who they are and where they are going. People who have experienced emotionally absent mothers often struggle with problems at work, problems in future relationships, and problems with raising their own children.

Many people with schizoid personality disorder or Asperger's syndrome want to have relationships with other people. They might work very hard to capture the attention of other people whom they like. However, many people with schizoid personality disorder or Asperger's syndrome struggle to maintain relationships. Some statistics on the Internet claim that the divorce rate for those with schizoid personality disorder, ADHD, or Asperger's syndrome is over 80 to 90 percent!
