The messages in this book were given as the last of a series of meetings called leadership courses for the people of God in Cameroon. At the time of preparing the messages I felt that I owed it to the Lord and his people to say all that was on my heart in case it was not possible for the audience to hear me in the future. I thought I should say my last word to the Church. Here it is. I have borrowed extensively from the thoughts of Watchman Nee in writing the message “The Cross and Our Priorities.” I believe that the Cross is central in the life and ministry of the believer.

There is one fundamental test of love. There is one way of proving whether a person loves the Lord or not. This test is obedience. Those who love the Lord obey Him. All who are disobedient to Him do not love Him. In this book, we present the nine marks of a disciple, an extended excerpt from The Making of Disciples by the author. They are drawn from the Word of God. Listen to each one carefully and answer the questions that follow.

The thought of many is that when a person is saved, God forgives him and wipes away all the consequences of his past sins - that he is free. His freedom is so complete that he has no responsibility to rightly terminate with the past and to carry out restitution to those he wronged then. The messages in this audiobook, were given to brethren from all over Cameroon in Yaoundé at a critical point in the work. There was a real increase in numbers of those who were turning away from their sins and becoming new creatures in Christ. Many young people were beginning to receive ministry gifts and to minister in the churches. There was a need for a fresh look at the ministry and the ministers as revealed in the New Covenant.

"Listen! A sower went out to sow, and as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it had not much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil; and when the sun rose it was scorched, and since it had no root it withered away. Other seed fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain."

This book, Celebrity a Mask, is the last book that Professor Fomum wrote with his own hand, after almost 56 years in the faith and 35 years of ministry both in Cameroon and abroad. Using the example of General Naaman in the Bible who was hiding his leprosy and covering it up with the mask of military success, money, honour, celebrity and the like, the author lays emphasis on the fact that most people wear a mask. In fact, many people hide their condition by wearing the mask of money, women, celebrity, etc., whereas their hearts are rotten with sin.

This audiobook is an attempt to bring the people of God back to a soul-winning, that is, the bringing of the sinner into contact and union with the savior and for evangelism that is again in the power of the Holy Spirit.

This audiobook is for you! The Lord Jesus loves you and wants to heal you! God wants you to be healed and to remain in perfect health. Your diseases are the works of Satan. This book was not written to attack the modern practice of medicine. We thank God for modern medicine and all that it is doing to relieve pain. However, without the touch of God, medicine cannot heal. God is the Healer. Jesus is the Healer. He can work through modern medicine and He can work without medicine. He is not limited. He is God.

Spiritual power is needed today. This power is needed to be like Christ in character and in deed. It is the power of God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord meant that the church as his body, and the believer as a member of his body, would manifest spiritual power in character and service. The church is, generally speaking, powerless. The lives of many believers are a tragic contradiction of the gospel they talk about. In the face of diseases, demons, and the like, many believers stand totally powerless.

Persecution is what one receives for loving the Lord and for serving him as he ought to be served. Persecution is a must for all who are true to the Lord. There is no way by which they can run away from it and remain true to their Lord.

Christian character is all-important. The Lord Jesus wants all his disciples to be like him in their character. He has put the Holy Spirit in each believer to work out that character. Only those whose character conforms in every way to that of the Lord Jesus can be said to be truly, entirely sanctified. This audiobook is about the character of Christ in the life of the Christian. We send it out with prayer that the almighty father should use it to work out the character of his begotten son in his adopted sons.

There is a war in progress between God and His forces on one side, and the devil and his forces on the other side. Whether you like it or not, you are a part of that war. If you have received the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, God has enroled you in His army and expects you to fight for Him and with Him. If you have not yet received the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, then you are on the devil’s side, fully registered in his army, even if you have good intentions.

This book, The Way of Christian Service by Zacharias Tanee Fomum, is the outflow of a heart burdened to see the marks of the lordship of Jesus Christ in every aspect of Christian service. It is the heart cry of a man who is desperate to see a new kind of minister on the horizon of Christian service - men and women who know God intimately, who fellowship with Him daily, and who commune with Him unceasingly.

By their consistent choice of the Lord (which also means that they consistently reject the wicked one), they satisfy God’s heart and make themselves the object of hell’s greatest fury and heaven’s greatest joy. It is only true that "the heights by which great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight but while their companions slept, they kept toiling upwards into the sky." The Lord has given us work to do. He desires it accomplished. If we are to accomplish that work, we must put all that we are and all that we have into it.
