The honeymoon is over for Poet and Kade. After a blissful week off from the day-to-day grind of the circus—where the only problem they had to deal with was the weird snake that appeared on the front porch of their cabin—the newlyweds are back with their friends in Phoenix. And nothing will ever be the same again. Phoenix is a city run by a slither of lamia, and even though Raven tries to maintain her distance from them each year when the circus rolls around, that’s not really an option this time.

That should’ve been the end of it, but a weird symbol on the dead man’s hand piques Bay’s interest, and when the negotiator turns up sick with the same symptoms, she knows that they have a problem on their hands.

Avery Shaw is back from her honeymoon and on the prowl for a story. She wants to prove that marriage has softened her - nothing ever could - and the way she’s going to do that is by rocking the news world with something monumental. Then a body drops in her neighborhood, only blocks away from her house, and the hunt is on. The victim is divorced, having an affair with a married coworker, and generally unlikable. Avery has multiple places to look for a suspect...and then another woman dies only a block away from Avery’s house, and the entire dynamic of the story changes.

Charlie Rhodes has been looking for answers her whole life. That’s why she joined The Legacy Foundation, a group of paranormal monsters hunters…who are looking for people just like her. She didn’t expect to fall in love, or find her birth parents. She didn’t expect to be hunted by an evil force. Her life isn’t what she thought it would be. It’s better. She’s hiding in the one place they’re looking for her.

Stormy Morgan should be on top of the world. She’s engaged, about to move into her dreamhouse, and her magic is stabilizing. In fact, she’s becoming one heckuva witch. Too bad trouble keeps finding her. This time, it comes in the form of a gang of kids who appear to be stealing cars from various townsfolk. It’s become a big enough issue that everybody in town is becoming unnerved, paranoid even. Their solution is to form a Neighborhood Watch, which should be okay in theory. Unfortunately, the reality is anything but.

Hadley Hunter is finally getting a handle on life as a witch. Island living isn’t always beautiful sunsets and fruity cocktails, but things have never been better…until a body washes up on the beach during a private picnic with her boyfriend Galen Blackwood. The body belongs to a local business manager, who just happens to be married to the daughter of one of the richest men on the island. Unfortunately for their victim, nobody—including his wife and daughters—seems to care that he’s gone. The deeper they dig, the more dirt they come up with on the victim….

Charlie Rhodes has a lot going on. The recent college graduate just landed her dream job. That's right. She's a bona fide monster hunter. No, you read that right. Charlie has joined the Legacy Foundation, and her actual job is to find something new, wonderful and scientifically unique.

Mystic Caravan Circus is planning for a transition. They want a permanent location so their members can settle down, and the hunt is on. Along the way, leader Poet Parker is finally ready to learn the truth about her magic. Her power is about to undergo a serious upgrade, and the pain of her past will be brought into the present.

Avery Shaw is on the hunt for action and adventure. The last place she thinks she’s going to find it is at a motivational retreat in northern Macomb County. I mean…how strong can someone be if they’re only eating tree bark, right? When one of the guests turns up dead, however, Avery gets assigned the story. She’s barely interested…until she realizes the camp is designed like a certain village from one of her favorite movies. Huts dispersed through various trees, with a huge platform and an open fireplace? Sounds like heaven…in a suburb far, far away.

Hadley Hunter never saw herself as mayor of Moonstone Bay. Now she has the job, and it seems to be a whole lot of squabbling neighbors and missing foul-mouthed birds instead of the action and adventure she was expecting. All of that changes when a local worker for one of the hotels calls in to report seeing a child wandering in the road in the middle of nowhere. Both the woman and child are missing when units go looking.

Moonstone Bay is in a tizzy. Not only has a new village been discovered—it was hidden by magic for hundreds of years—but family members long thought dead are back and infiltrating lives that had changed in their absence. It is not all smooth sailing. Hadley Hunter is trying to keep things under wraps but she’s as excited to explore the village as anybody. There’s just one little problem. How did a body make it into the village when it was magically warded to keep people out?

Avery Shaw has taken on her fair share of jerks. Often, she’s considered the jerk when she takes them down...a role she gladly relishes. Now, though, she’s taking on a whole faction of jerks. It seems a battle of the sexes is brewing in Macomb County. A local shock jock, a man who believes women should be home tending children and keeping the house clean while men bring home the bacon, is on trial for sexually harassing his underlings.

Life in the Winchester household is hardly settled. That’s true for Bay Winchester more than anybody else. Her boyfriend, Landon Michaels, is away from town on an undercover assignment for the FBI, and Bay is struggling not to let worry and unease rule over her life. Halloween is approaching, after all, and Hemlock Cove is bustling with activity. Bay has her hands full even when her heart feels empty. A chance encounter with Landon while he’s undercover leaves Bay exposed...and furious.

Poet Parker and crew are looking for a permanent location because traveling won’t be an option for much longer. They’re expecting a normal trip. They’re getting so much more...including a mystery. The day after they arrive, a body drops in the ditch across from the city park, and what follows is a series of bone-chilling events that revolve around the island’s children. It seems something weird is causing them to act out of sorts...and they might just have murder on their minds.

Avery Shaw likes to win. Unfortunately, her single-minded focus on being declared victor tends to get her into trouble. That’s never more true than when she decides to take on her archnemesis Tad Ludington. With an election coming up, Avery is ready to let her freak flag fly in an attempt to get Tad to show his true colors on television...thus sabotaging his chance at getting into office. That backfires when, after a truly epic meltdown, Tad is shot and left for dead in his own home.

Life on the streets wasn’t what she had in mind for her forever, and she jumped at the chance of joining Mystic Caravan Circus when an invitation was extended. She didn’t look back. That was 10 years ago, and now Poet is going back to the exact area she used to haunt...and she’s nervous. The friends she left behind are scattered. Some are dead. Some have moved on to other things. Some turned out to be something else entirely. Others simply disappeared into the wind.

Mystic Caravan Circus is heading for the Midwest...and their first stop is Michigan. Hemlock Cove, to be exact. Poet Parker is looking forward to what she believes will be a quiet time. Hemlock Cove isn’t big, after all, and Mystic Caravan is essentially serving as the centerpiece for a paranormal festival in a town where everyone pretends to be witches. There’s just one problem...real witches are afoot, and they’re unbelievably powerful.
