We are here in this world for one purpose, and that is to fulfill God's word, which is Scripture. Oh, you can accomplish miracles while you are here, but God sent you - his word - into the world, saying, "My word shall not return unto me void. It must accomplish that which I purposed and prosper in the thing for which I sent it." You are that word, and you are destined to fulfill Scripture.

Here we use the words "God" or "Christ" or "imagination" interchangeably. They mean the same thing. If I use the word "God" because I am moved to use it, or the word "Christ," it is the same thing. It is the fundamental power that created and sustains the universe, and which, also sustains our environment. We are told there is a secret to the whole creation "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, and by Him were all things made, and without Him was not anything made that was made."

Blake asked the question: "Why is it that the Bible is more entertaining and instructive than any other book? Is it not because it is addressed to the Imagination, which is spiritual sensation, and only immediately to the understanding, or reason?" The one book, called the Bible, is composed of 66 books. Take this challenge. Study each book as though the depth of your soul is speaking to your surface mind. As though the ineffable Imagination is speaking to the human Imagination, and not to your immediate understanding or reasoning mind.

Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, says, "I see that you observe days and months and seasons and years. I am afraid I have labored over you in vain." Now here we are, this crowded week of observing these different days, and this is the season, and naturally it is the year. What did Paul give to the world? What he gave to the world is this: that the spirit of God and the human imagination are one.

As you have been told, this morning's subject is Seedtime and Harvest. Although it bears the same title as my latest book, it is not to be found in that book, for that book is an attempt to interpret some of the more difficult passages of the Bible. I have given you in the nine chapters a mystical view, and also a certain approach how you yourself may approach the interpretation of the Bible, for, as you know, it is not a book of history.

Those who experience the Christian mystery are charged with the responsibility of telling others. Their aim is the awakening of faith in God. For, as Paul, I ask the questions, "How can men call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how can they hear unless there is a preacher? And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!'"

The purpose of this record is to show you how to use your imagination to achieve your every desire. Most men are totally unaware of the creative power of imagination and invariably bow before the dictates of "facts" and accepts life on the basis of the world without. But when you discover this creative power within yourself, you will boldly assert the supremacy of imagination and put all things in subjection to it.

In all the revelations that await you, there's none so fundamental and so filled with ecstasy as when you discover that the Bible is all about you. What joy will be yours, when the word of God as recorded in the books of Genesis to Revelation is revealed, and you - an individual - become the living Word and the interpreter of the Bible.

The purpose of these talks is to bring about a psychological change in you, the individual. Humanity, understood psychologically, is an infinite series of levels of awareness and you, individually, are what you are according to where you are in the series. Consciousness is the only reality, and where you are conscious of being psychologically, determines the circumstances of your life. The ancients knew this great truth, but our modern teachers have yet to discover it.

God only acts and is in existing beings or men. Embracing the fires of experience, God was consumed by the flames, rose from their ashes, and continues to rise as Jesus Christ, or divine imagination. Good and evil are not conditions imposed by some benevolent deity but states the soul must experience in order to surpass them and awaken as God himself.

A man's mental conversations attracts his life. As long as there is no change in his inner talking, the personal history of the man remains the same. To attempt to change the world before we change our inner talking is to struggle against the very nature of things. Man can go round and round in the same circle of disappointments and misfortunes, not seeing them as caused by his own negative inner talking, but as caused by others.

The purpose of the first portion of this book is to show, through actual true stories, how imagining creates reality. Science progresses by way of hypotheses tentatively tested and afterwards accepted or rejected according to the facts of experience. The claim that imagining creates reality needs no more consideration than is allowed by science. It proves itself in performance.

This book is concerned with the art of realizing your desire. It gives you an account of the mechanism used in the production of the visible world. It is a short book but not slight. There is a treasure in it: a clearly defined road to the realization of your dreams.

Although only a few are teaching this wonderful principle at the present time, many others will follow; and because the Christian world believes in a man, this question will be asked over and over: "Do you not believe that a man called Jesus Christ walked the earth?" It is my hope that I will be able to clarify this point for you. Listen to these words from scripture: "You will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Thy Word is truth." And speaking of Jesus Christ: "His name shall be called the Word of God."

When I receive a great revelation concerning the creative power of God I cannot keep it to myself, but must share it with all who will listen.

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and dwells in us." (John 1). Our physical birth is God's incarnation, for incarnation signifies the assumption by a divine being of human or animal form. When you were born your little human form was assumed by God. Christmas marks the departure from God's incarnation and your birth as God.
