Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, but Aisling Grimlock is feeling anything but festive. For her, the world seems to be shrinking, and good cheer is hard to find. Aisling’s worry about meeting her live-in boyfriend Griffin Taylor's mother takes a backseat when a new enemy appears, this one haunting Aisling in mirrors and turning up at the exact wrong time. Aisling Grimlock is living a charmed life...kind of. Things are going well for Michigan's favorite grim reaper, though. She's moving in with her boyfriend Griffin Taylor, her best friend Jerry is doing his best not to melt down and her back-from-the-dead mother doesn't appear to be munching on the unsuspecting populace. Er, well, maybe. All of that changes when another reaping family goes missing and Aisling and her merry band of family and friends are tossed into the middle of a mystery that will have long-lasting repercussions.

Charlie Rhodes has a lot going on. The recent college graduate just landed her dream job. That's right. She's a bona fide monster hunter. No, you read that right. Charlie has joined the Legacy Foundation, and her actual job is to find something new, wonderful and scientifically unique.

Izzy Sage is a woman on a mission. She’s determined to find the creatures wearing her parents’ faces...and end them. Unfortunately, the trouble bubbling up on Belle Isle has to take precedence, especially when violence lands in her backyard. A prison van is involved in a wreck in downtown Detroit, allowing 50 high-risk inmates to escape. Several of them make a beeline straight for the island - there are boats to steal for escape after all - and Izzy manages to take them out without much trouble. That’s only the start, however.

Izzy Sage was looking for answers when she took a job as keeper of the death gate in Detroit. Unfortunately, the answers being delivered aren’t what she was hoping for. Personal worries have to take a backseat, though, because the reaper world is in an uproar. News that their former leader Renley Hatfield was working with the enemy has spread, but that doesn’t mean the good guys can trust everybody that’s left.

Witches are descending on Hemlock Cove and the town is gearing up for mayhem. Bay Winchester is ready to cover the event for her newspaper, and is excited to see faces she hasn’t interacted with in more than a decade. Then the unthinkable happens. The local blacksmith shop catches fire and Bay and her cousin Thistle risk death to try and rescue the owner. Unfortunately, they’re too late, and the man is unable to be resuscitated. Not only that, but it wasn’t the fire that killed him. No, he was murdered.

Izzy Sage is settling into her new job, enjoying her new romance, and only has one thing on her mind: choosing a new assistant to help her at Belle Isle’s death gate. All of that changes when the gate malfunctions. Instead of dragging someone over, though, it sends five people back. Years ago, a group of trainees disappeared while on a tour of the facility. There was no rhyme or reason to what happened, and the higher-ups assumed they died during the malfunction. Five of them have returned though, and they haven’t aged a day.

Halloween is Avery Shaw’s favorite time of year. What’s not to love? Slasher movies, hot chocolate, and corn mazes. She’s addicted to them all. During a visit to one of those mazes, she runs across several men trying to kidnap a teenage girl. In true Avery fashion, she intervenes...resulting in a severe injury. While she’s on the mend, she starts tracking information on a group of people working in the area.

When the federal government shows up to take over the scene and shuts down access to the site, Bay Winchester is suspicious. Things only get worse when her boyfriend Landon Michaels is ordered to abstain from sharing information from her.

Hemlock Cove is mired in a cold snap, which means the town is calm and quiet. That all changes in an instant when a beer truck tips over on the highway and half the town shows up to get drunk. Bay Winchester is about to be the sole owner of the town newspaper so she heads out to take photos...and accidentally stumbles over several bodies. It seems there’s a serial killer on the loose, although no one can figure out if the dump site was convenient or if the killer is local.
