Joining us at Audible Studios is Louise Doughty, an English fiction and non-fiction writer, a playwright and a journalist. Doughty studied for an MA in Creative Writing. As her writing for newspapers and radio began to garner more attention, she wrote and released her first novel, and hasn't stopped since then. One of her novels, Apple Tree Yard, was adapted into a BBC series under the same name.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Kerry Daynes, an English forensic psychologist and consultant who has worked as an expert witness and within the family law courts as well as opening her own private practices. Daynes has released her new book, The Dark Side of the Mind: True Stories from My Life as a Forensic Psychologist. Kerry Dayes has worked in maximum security prisons and secure hospitals, working alongside some of the most complex and challenging criminals and victims of crime.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his narration of the classic Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist is Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce. Dickens' second published novel, Oliver Twist, has been adapted numerous times. Following orphan Oliver from the workhouse to the streets of London, he meets a pickpocket known as the Artful Dodger, who offers him shelter. There we meet Fagin, Nancy and Bill Sikes. Oliver’s innocence is tested as he witnesses the darker side of London.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Candice Carty-Williams, senior marketing executive at Vintage books and author of Queenie. Queenie is a relatable, darkly comic take on a Jamaican-British woman living in London trying to recover from a messy breakup, gain some attention among all the white middle class peers at her newspaper job and, most of all, fit into two different cultures. We spoke about her motivations for writing Queenie, her career, the lack of diversity in publishing and what she is planning on doing next.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss her first book, When the Dogs Don't Bark, is forensic scientist Professor Angela Gallop. Angela also talks to us about the importance of advancements in forensic technology, her own intriguing career, including her involvement in many high-profile criminal cases, and the recent trend for professional memoirs.

After studying Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire, Stacey worked as an assistant editor at We Love This Book magazine and a media editor at the Bookseller magazine, as well as writing for Psychologies, The Independent, and Fabulous magazine, where she is now Deputy Chief Sub-Editor. Alongside editorial work, Stacey has written her first novel, an exciting historical fiction set within the drama of the 1612 Pendle witch trials.

Oliver looks at everything from ruined towns on the edge of Siberia, to Bond-villain lairs in Knightsbridge and Manhattan. Something has gone wrong with the workings of the world, and Oliver shares insight on the current situation in Moneyland. From his time living in Russia to the books he has written since, we discuss our current political and economic situation, key moments in history that lead to now, and his many years of research into this topics.

Angela tells us how she came up for the idea, a bit about her protagonist, Jenna, and the importance of her fanbase. Beyond being a Spice Girl, Mel B is now also an advocate for women across the world who suffer from domestic violence.
